Another thing that’s been coming up lately - It’s the way people justify their behavior.  People do whatever kind of rotten thing they do and then figure out all kinds of reasons why their wrong action is actually right action, just ask them.

I am pretty sure a person is responsible for the action they take independent of the action of anyone else on this planet which reminds me of, Flip Wilson if you’re old enough to remember him.  ”The devil made me do it!”

“I did that because he did that and she did that and anyway it’s okay what I did because that person sucks and I got hurt and I had to teach them a lesson and blah, blah, blah…”

I think we all do this to an extent but some people go through their lives doing nothing but this which leads nowhere of course. Something to consider as Mars heads into conjunction with Saturn…

Do you take responsibility for your actions?

Just a quick note - I was writing the forecasts for the next 5 or 6 days and if you’re struggling today (I know for a fact some are), you can expect things to improve here pretty quick.

If this were a weather forecast it would be a week of smooth sailing for the most part.

Way things have been and the way they are headed it really seems prudent to me to milk a series of days like the one coming up for all it’s worth.

Anyone need a break out there? (It’s comin’!)

“That was not a hug. That was you lying on top me like a barge,” I said.

“A barge?  A barge?  You said you liked my weight on top you.”

“Well I do. But when you’re actually hugging me and kissing me or something. That’s a lot different that just rolling over me like a barge and parking there. I mean for Godsakes.”

“Oh, P.”

Things are sluggish as the Moon in Gemini squares Saturn and we cope with all the planets in retrograde.

Mars is trine Pluto and heading into a conjunction with Saturn in Virgo so people will in be getting things done, it’s just not likely to be very satisfying.

The other day I had to confront my son. Forever the victim of other people’s undermining I noticed he had taken on a negative attitude towards me and it got to a point I thought I should address it.

Now in theory, no one should be telling my son bad things about me… skewing his reality.  But fact is this happens and when the effects grow too large I feel little choice but to shatter the illusion which I do with a Mack Truck sized-club unfortunately for Vid.

I discussed it with the soldier.

Speaking of all the hot air around here, guess what that is?

That’s the family hot air balloon… we have worked on it for weeks.  Designed by the soldier we are hoping to launch it tonight with an alcohol soaked cotten ball.

Mars Mercury, see?

We’re hoping no one calls in a UFO sighting…

Reporting this on the chance it helps others trying to maintain their relationships… most of you know the soldier and I tend to fight and when we do, it’s no joke.  We just can and do explode with what (in hindsight) seems to be very little provocation but once it happens, we really do get into it.

We try to control this tendency with very limited success but we did land on something a few nights ago that seemed to work.

In the midst of a fight… well the soldier was going to take a bath. He figured we’d be at it all night - Fighting that is, so he may as well take a bath and he invited me to take a bath with him and continue the fight.  I guess he figured (rightly) if he left the fight to bathe, I would be even madder so he decided this was the best option.

It left me (as an angry women) to either get in the tub and fight with him, or refuse to and y’all ought to know by now I will never not be sporting so we both stripped down and got in the tub.

And while we did continue to fight, it was very much toned down because think about it. You have two naked people scrunched in a tub - How mad can you be?

On Thursday we were cookin’ here. We have a swamp cooler that fits in the window and apparently the switch broke because it would no longer run on the high setting. “What is that?” I asked the soldier. “It seems pretty queer to me. It runs fine on low, and I flip this up and it continues to run but still on low? How did we lose our high setting and don’t you think it’s strange? Seems to me it would work at all but it just plays on low regardless.”

He explained it was probably the switch gone bad. He called it a 2-way blah blah and said he could probably replace it or if not, fix it somehow. That was late in the evening.
