“Yeah? Like what?”
“Well I considered going to Africa. They hunt rhinos there and they don’t even kill then. They just cut off their horns and leave them to bleed to death.”
“I’ve heard of that,” I said.
“Yeah, well they go after those bastards. They drop you in 4 man teams and you go after the rhino hunters and I thought about doing it, know what I was going to say when I found one of them?”
“What?’
“I was going to point to my nose and say, look here. I am a rhino. Why don’t you try to cut off my nose, motherfucker.”
“We need a guy like you around, you know?”
“I do know.”

I do feel useful in all kinds of ways.
Yup. I am frequently told that my assistance is valuable in small ways. That’s why I think I’m happiest in a subordinate position.
I feel very useful as a mother, wife, and daughter. I always joke that “I have to stay alive!” or else my kids will live off of McDonalds, candy, and T.V. if I don’t. I just have this fear that everything would go haywire if I died. Maybe that’s tooting my own horn a bit…I need to have more faith that my kids will be well taken care of.
When I start teaching, I know I’ll be a useful part of society. I can’t wait.
no I don’t. I am told differently but No I don’t feel useful. I know what I would like to do but I can’t till money is not something that is needed.
