Relationship And Job Search Advice Via Astrologer, Grant Lewi

Astrology in real life

lewi.gif‘Well, I figure this is the situation,” I told the soldier last week when he started looking for a job. “I’ll tell you because I doubt you have perspective. People are going to look at your resume and they are either going to know what it says or not. I mean a lot of people aren’t going to know what all that military stuff means, do you know that?”

“Yeah. Maybe I should take it out.”

“No, it’s too big a chunk of your life. I figure you will be hired because of it or not hired because of it so leave it in. Because anyone who knows what that says - they are going to want to work with you. But say someone does not like the military and there are plenty who don’t. Some people hate the military… they hate military people. They don’t want to be around them so if you get one of them, forget about it. You won’t get hired but you would not want to work with someone like that anyway. You’d want to kill them in a day, I am sure.”

“Yep.”

“Okay, so you don’t hide who you are. There is way too much to hide for one thing. It’s impossible so you just have to send these things out until someone sees it’s their lucky day your resume just landed in their hands. Someone will eventually recognize you I am sure.”

“Oh, P.”

“Mark my words.”
radio_tower.gifYesterday the soldier went in to interview with some guy. “Know what he said when I walked in?” he said.

“What?’

“Well we’ve seen your resume, do want to see the machines?”

I chuckled. “What did I tell you?”

The soldier starts his new job next week. It is more whirring hot dangerous metal… precision, engineering, design, genius, all his usual and I thought I’d write this for those of you out looking for partners.

It was Grant Lewi who wrote of people who broadcast their signal loud and proud in his landmark book, Astrology For The Millions. You’ve just got to put your whole self out there if you want to find where you go really…

This is a really beautiful post, Elsa. Thanks! And Congrats to the soldier on the new job!

Great post Elsa. It requires courage to do that - put your whole self out there. Especially for mercurysaturn types like me. I think it’s what attracts me to my boyfriend most - he really is the whole him all of the time. It gets him in trouble with others, but not with himself (I tend to go the other way). Congrats on the new job.

Yeah Soldier!!!! And I’m finally learning that I do need to put all of me out there, it’s just to hard to keep half of yourself bottled up. I love the line “You’d want to kill them in a day”…just picturing a trail of crumpled bosses cracks me up…and the rhino butting through the wall and trotting to the next adventure.

with a balloon attached to his nose and tail of course…apologizing (sort of) that he had to resort to that tactic.

Oh Heather D M - he did give one boss the terror of a lifetime, however this only happened after 50 warnings and perfect execution of his job the entire time. Some people just like to poke the tiger. They do it to me too… stick around this blog long enough and you are sure to witness.

I agree with this idea wholeheartedly, especially when it comes to relationships. It just works better in the long run if we say “this is who I am for better or worse”. As one with a loaded 12th house, I have learned the hard way to be very, very clear about who I am . . . :-)

Never thought he’d have any problem landing a good job . . . congrats!!
