From Saturday morning…

We wound up not having to work last night… have to do it today instead. We got home, the soldier had driven like crazy after being motivated by his boss.

“You want to lie down on the couch with me?” he asked.

“I do.” So there we were two grand trines in earth, completely relaxed.

“Do you remember lying on the couch when we were kids and holding each other like this?” he asked. “We used to do this all the time? Do you remember, P?” He reached up behind the couch to indicate the wall. “There used to be a window right here,” he said.

“I remember. The kitchen table was over there,” I said pointing. “It was round and then a little kitchen nook.”

“Yep.”

“Bathroom on the left and then the bedroom… the white spaceship landed makeup case was in the bathroom.”

“Yeah,” he laughed.

“Where was the closet?” I asked.

“Over here,” he said pointing.”

“Did we have a dresser?”
“I don’t know. I don’t remember. We may have had one; we may have not had one. But do you remember lying like this, hugging? We used to do it all the time. Just like this except this was back when we had friends,” he said with a chuckle. “Remember when we had friends?”

“Yep,” I said.

“Yeah, our friends would come by,” he said reaching up to tap on the wall. “And they’d go tap, tap, tap on the window as they walked by and we’d go oh no those are our friends! We’re going to have to get up now. I guess we better get up and let them in since they’re our friends.”

I just laughed. Laughed about not wanting to get up and laughed at how it’s just not like that anymore. It seems like a million years ago and just like yesterday all at once. Saturn Neptune time warp I guess.
