The soldier called within 5 minutes to ask me if I wanted to come out and wait in the truck wash line as it can take hours to get your truck washed. He was trying to peace-make which I appreciated but I saw no sense going out there when I could not return the gesture. It seemed a better idea I maintain the space because I was working on a deep level that was productive for me.

I was thinking about what I had written on my blog about going down in a well. I was thinking how good I am at this. I have spent my whole like in a well and I was thinking I ought to go on my blog and tell people how this is best done because I do know.

Venus is in Pisces today, the sign of it’s exaltation and I thinking on my cross trainer this morning how few people really know how to give a gift. For example any gift with a string attached is not a gift but something grotesque in my mind. It is far worse than giving nothing so I wanted to state this… my opinion and also update what happened with the 2 books I mentioned on the video, Venus, Neptune, Giving, Leonard Cohen and Stephen Arroyo

I wound up getting the the Stephen Arroyo book from regular reader here, mega Libran, Becca. Becca is a librarian and somehow this enhanced this for me. Something about getting a book bought for you by a librarian who generally loans books, don’t they? Want a book? Go to the library, damn it! But she made sure I got that book which I enjoyed very much and I intend to write about it first chance I get.

Now the the Leonard Cohen book, I no longer have. I thought I would have it forever as much as it meant to me but in fact I gave it away some months ago.

What happened was the soldier’s son sent an email from Iraq. He was asking for certain things. Things like mouthwash and dental floss and books of course. And being on the road the soldier could not do much to get something together so he asked me to do it for him and I did.

I was stressed and out of time and money at the time so I put together some of everything he asked for, surprised I had everything on the list already onhand in some form.

I then looked around for some books and decided to send him the Energy Of Slaves when I realized it was the best thing I had. So what else would I give him, hmm? I sent that thing and I don’t miss it at all.

Do you know how to give a gift?

Sun in Aries forms an exact square with ruler Mars debilitated in Cancer and many people are superbly pissed. Combine this with the depressive mood shown by the Moon in Capricorn and even it’s conjunction to (debilitated) Jupiter won’t help much.

I’d try not to attack if you can help it because to because for one thing who wants to with a debilitated Mars? But beyond that Mars is pointed right at the Sun so it’s one of those situation where you shoot at the other guy and wound up shot yourself.

Sort of like the ineffectual hothead that fires his gun into the air only to be carted off by the police.

Or perhaps if you are supremely unlucky you wind up on The Darwin Awards so I’d think twice before you do the daring deed.

This time I don’t have to ask. Did you see the sky today? Who gets married with the Moon in Capricorn just for starters? No way was an astrologer involved in this…

Now in the midst of this intense fight and the 2 hour long discussion of my club… the interaction with the gay man and the blond that has yet to be introduced, the soldier mentioned this new fact - he associates me with the Little Match Girl.

I was not too happy when he told me because I was overwhelmed as it was after 24 hours of intense process but I did get up and quick-read the thing which made me cry, but not profusely because I did not process it at the time.

Once in the room, I plugged in my computer which was extremely unusual. The soldier said he would be two hours messing with his truck and if there were not a fight and a very, VERY bad one, I’d have gone right to him.

Matter of fact in all the time I have known him now or back when, I had never ignored him in this way. And it was not intentional as in “manipulative” because I just don’t play like that. The fact is, I was so intensely pissed off at him I had actually shut down.

I realized I did not want to see him even though I was there. It was sort of like “family”. You may not like them or want to deal with them but you do it anyway because you love them even if you don’t like them however you limit your exposure.

And I don’t know what to say besides my feeling like this in regards to the soldier was new territory. I knew it and he knew it and nobody knew what was going to happen now that this had happened… Elsa detached.

What a MARS-Y 24 hours. Yesterday I checked in the motel and called the soldier who was nearby. He was waiting in line to get his truck washed. We usually talk when en route to see each other but with the fight going, no one was ringing anybody up. Figure we’d fight it out in person or perhaps not fight if we got some kind of miracle.

“I’m here,” I said sullenly. No good energy for him!

“How is it?”

“Okay. The guy who checked me in was gay. Interested in you,” I added.

It was not important but I thought I’d mention just to throw him off.

“There is no way I will ever be in that club,” the soldier said regarding the club my ex-boyfriends have and they do have one. “I don’t care what happens between me and you, I will not join that club.”

I stared. “I know that.”

“I may go to one meeting,” he said, shocking me.

“You’re going to go to a meeting with them?” I was stupefied. He knows how I feel about my club. I have no idea why these men decide they are going to best friends with each other when they break up with me but it happens and it happens routinely. “You’re going to a meeting with them?”

I stared.

“Yeah, if you were Speedy I’d have punched you on day one.”

“No kidding.”

“Hell yes, the stuff you say? I’d have punched your lights right out.”

I snorted. We’re beginning to make up, see. And by the way, he does not have cancer and my blood is excellent. So if you like us, hooray and if not… well we’re not going anywhere. We’re like these two fixtures.
