What Does Patrick Swayze And Dirty Dancing Have In Common With Hot Debates On The Elsa Blog?

This weekend, the soldier and I were sitting in his truck in the truck wash line prior to fighting and he made conversation by asking about this blog…
“My blog? Well they are fighting on my blog at the moment. Everyone is fighting. You, me, them. It’s in the air, people want to fight.”
“Why are they fighting?”
“An advice post I wrote. Some people think it was awful, other people think it’s not so awful so they’re fighting it out.”
“How do you feel about it?”
“Detached. I feel like a hologram. I am fighting with you but everyone wants to fight today so I am out there like a scrap of meat, ripe to fight over. I am not really involved.”
He laughed.
“Yeah, I don’t care. I don’t care if I suck or not because I wrote the post a week ago or 10 days ago. I did my best but then I was done. In real time I am here with you having my own fight.”
He didn’t say anything.
“Reminds me of Patrick Swayze. I read something about him, some gal came up to him 20 years after the fact. She was all excited about Dirty Dancing. Oh, I loved that movie, she said! But he wasn’t thinking about Dirty Dancing at all. That was a long time ago, he said.”
“Yeah.”
“Yeah, but the girl was devastated. She was just crushed that she met him and he said that. She was just plain hurt and apparently he heard about it and when he heard that he’d hurt her feelings he just felt terrible. Apparently he is an authentically nice person, see. Like I am. I would feel bad too. If that happened to me like it happened to him I would feel horrible as well because he did not mean to cause pain to anyone but anyway, that’s how he felt and he wanted to go find her to apologize and try to explain he did not mean to hurt her feelings but it just really was a very long time ago he was in that movie.”
“I see.”
“Yeah, so this is what is going on today. People have strong feelings about something I wrote and they are there in the moment but my moment with the writing has passed. This is my big fear with that book by the way. That thing will get published some day and people will have all kinds of things to say. They will have feelings and want to talk about them and what will I do? I can’t go back in time. It makes you feel bad when you’re not where you’re supposed to be however, you’re just not there and I don’t think Patrick Swayze can be expected to respond with passion around a movie he made 20 years ago…”
So that was on the weekend and today I got to thinking about this and wondered if Patrick Swayze had Saturn and Neptune in aspect to have these time wrinkle problems same as I do. Sure enough, he has the planets conjunct in the 1st house! He also has a 12th House Sun and Venus so there you go. You’re not talking to him, you’re talking to his hologram.Do you often find yourself in the wrong time zone? Where are Saturn and Neptune in your chart?

Saturn in the 12th squaring Neptune in the 3rd—and I am in the midist of my Saturn Return. It feels terrific!
Saturn in the 12th has it’s own set of problems without even considering the square to Neptune.
And, as far as being in the wrong time zone…ah, time. That old ball and chain. I’d personally just like more of it and for it be more organized in its procession.

Where’s all the fightin goin on Elsa? what happened to the fight in the truck wash? I am not sure whether the Swayze story has anything to with all of this? I guess I am just guessing about it all.

Ehh, this Scorpio knows to pick his battles, so I’m not someone who’s insisting fight, fight, fight. In fact, I’m quite aware that Jennifer Grey of Dirty Dancing fame got totally messed up from having plastic surgery, so what does that tell you? You’re not performing, so who cares what the peanut gallery wants? That and having a hot, sexy man who adores you is always a good thing to appreciate in your life. That is all.
Kingsley we had fought bitterly the night before on the phone and met the next day after some hijinks and were trying not to continue to fight if possible so this conversation was pre-fight.
If you are talking about the fighting on the blog, it was the advice post on Friday I think. Some thought me insensitive, others did not and what it has in common is my feelings about the argument. I had responded early in the morning and then got on the road and for me at that point I was gone. So although I am the center of the topic I was a million miles away thinking about other things which gives a weird feeling. Er… people feel things due you but you have left the building and this is what resonated with me as far as Swayze went.
Interesting that. I am always in the wrong time zone. My life does not run in the same sequences as those around me. I have saturn square neptune.
I don’t consider that being in the wrong time zone. You are where you are and others are where they are. Just bc people expect you to be in Pacific /Mountain Time (or whatever it’s called) doesn’t mean you’re letting them down bc you really live in Colorado. Same with Swayze here. He was living his life forward and someone was disappointed about that. Too bad. I think it’s nice that he felt sorry for the reality is: we live where we live and people can’t expect us to live elsewhere. (if that makes any sense.)
