Sun Conjunct Saturn @ 8 Years Old - The Pimple

Astrology in real life

vidroidMy son has an honest to God pimple on his face and he is claiming puberty. Don’t tell me he doesn’t want to be grown up.

Personally I was ready to hit the road by the time I was 8. Every single thing I did at that age was geared to this end. I wanted to grow up, get out, go on adventures and think my son is geared the same way.

Can you Capricorn / Saturn types relate? How about you Jupiter / Sagittarius types?

Well now that I know I’m not a “Triple Cappy” I know I’m still a “Capricorn-type” - oh boy. I probably could have raised myself from the age of 10. Everything came on early, too. I was very grown up and preferred the company of adults. I even wrote a book “for children” at age 7 :)

By 12, I had one of those old-school sticks with a bandanna pouch at the end of it and I was off!

I always came back though. Still do, over 20 years later. :)

TripleCappy, are you now Twothirds Cappy? Onethird Cappy?

I think as a little kid I was already sad (Pisces)knowing I’d be out of the nest (moon in Sag) at 19 and move always further and further and further away (Jupiter in Sag, too). In a Sag panic, I hid (Pisces) the scholarship papers to the local art school so I could go to the furthest away superior brand (Cap) art school. The whole process was terrifying and just looking at calenders freaked me out that year.

I know my son is like this. When he was 2 he was begging to go to pre-school. When he got there, he actually spent his entire day caretaking smaller children. I used to say, i send you to preschool to play, not be a child care provider- but I couldn’t over ride his Virgo nature.

When he was 4, he wanted to go on the school bus, at 5 he wanted overnight camp.

I knew on some very deep level that all I was to him was a ride to his ultimate destination and once he his own drivers license, he’d leave and never come back. And that was the case.

Me, I left home at 13. But I never showed the maturity that he showed at 5 years old until I was probably 35.

For me, it was all about rebellion and running from something.

For him, it was his manifest destiny to be adventurous and self sufficient and there is a vast difference between the two presentations.

yup…(Sag ASC; Cap Moon). Scarlet I love your comment. Your son sounds so loving and nice–good job!

Well, I hunted for my first real job when I was 14 (legal age), and moved out at 17 right after starting college. Sag sun/moon. No real capricorn in my chart. But LOTS of saturn (in virgo in the 6th, ha) opps and squares to sun/asc and other planets.

i just didn’t want to go to school. ever. again. couldn’t see a way out though, at that point.
saturn’s one of the most aspected planets in my chart, but it’s hard to think of myself as saturnian. still struggling on being comfortable with that energy.

I can relate (Sun and Saturn - v. distant compadres - in 9th, Moon and Mars in Sadge, Jupiter in 1st/2nd). Happily trotted off to school starting at age 1 and 1/2. Went to camp on the other side of the country for 2 months a year starting at 12. Left home at 16 to go to school, also on the other side of the country. Life is one big (Jupiter) hard-core (Saturn) adventure (Sadge).

Yes! I’m a Sagittarius with Capricorn Mercury and my childhood was just a preamble for my teenage years when I was allowed to be more independent, grown-up and free. That’s when I started being more of myself.

I also prefered to be around grown-ups and have adult chats. hehe I was a saturnian kid.

  9. Becca says on 3/25/08 at 11:55 am:

Cap rising, and I always preferred the company of adults as a kid.

  10. Stephanie says on 3/25/08 at 12:16 pm:

Cappy Moon. I hated kids when I was a kid.

  11. Shannon says on 3/26/08 at 3:13 pm:

Sun/Saturn conjunct here as well. The phrase most often used to describe me when I was a little kid? Four-going-on-forty.

Silly adults trying to talk to me like I was a kid …. hmmmph. *chuckle*

    Oh yeah. I get it.
