Astrology And Children: Sun Conjunct Saturn @ 8 Years Old - Perhaps Not Rejected After All?

Astrology in real life

“One thing too, I was so shy about boys at that age (though no one would have known it; I was pretty outgoing) that I would have said “no” even if the answer was yes. I would have been waaay too embarrassed for someone to know I liked a boy. I’m not sure that’s something you’d want to share with him, but it is possible.”

satori, turns out you might be quite right. I did share your idea with my son who thought this might explain things because while the lovely Belle (yes, that’s her name) did openly reject him, she continues to talk to him daily.

“She says, Vidroid, Vidroid, every time she sees me,” he reports. He also got her birth data. “Her birthday is the day before mine,” he said. “She is one day and one year older than me but she thinks she is just a day older since I lie about my age,” he said.

“I’m going to look at her chart,” I said. He followed me to the computer and turns out he’s got an authentic goddess on his hands. The girl is a double Taurus, but get this: Ruler Venus is exalted in Pisces conjunct Jupiter Pisces (it’s own sign) so it’s pretty hard to beat that.

One more thing, now that we are going to be watching the lovely Belle (this is what I call her).

When the soldier was here he teased my son about Belle beyond belief which is something that would have never occurred to me to do. Just goes to show you what a boy misses when there is no man around because the soldier does understand men and here’s what he did:

tangeloHe was playing with my son… they were hunting each other actually, running through the house trying to be stealth and trick each other. They both have Scorpio, Gemini and Aries, see.

So my son would be coming down the hall and the soldier would stand in a doorway and stick his leg out, toe pointed like it was a burlesque girl’s leg in my son’s line of sight and say in a girl’s voice, “Vidrooooooooid. Oh, Vidrooooooid. It’s me, Belle,” he said alluringly. “Come see me, Vidroid. Come see me, it’s Bellllle!”

Of course my son was in hysterics. Yesterday I told the soldier my son did not want a tangelo.

“Tell him it’s a Belle-ah-lo,” he said.

::snort::

I did exactly this and Vidroid was pleased beyond belief. He likes it being known he has a love interest. Matter of fact he asked me what his chart said and I told him, “You want a girlfriend.”

“Duh,” he said. “Everything else is boring. (Venus in Gemini) What am I supposed to do? Have a date with my mom?”

I am going to be so good to my son’s girlfriend when he gets one, she’s not going to believe her good fortune.

Do you look at the charts of your children?

    Heh.

She may just not want to ruin a perfectly good thing, sounds like. “I like you. Why on EARTH would I want your COOTIES all over me? It would make me not like you anymore!” ;)

That is all so freakin’ cute.

Yes, I look at my son’s chart, I couldn’t wait to do my son’s chart when he was born. I am reminded of it every day with his infectious Sagittarius humor and also by his Virgo moon/rising when he sweeps, vacuums, and wipes the table and floors (he’s 2).

Oh yeah. I look at my kids charts. I love seeing where/how they touch each other. My daughter was 8 when her baby brother was born. She’s a Virgo. He has Virgo ascendant. She was the first person after me to hold him. They are so close. And she and her older brother have things in common too but they are only 21 months apart and still young enough to hate each other immensely.

I love my daughter’s chart and how it meshes with mine and her dad’s. Her Sun is exactly conjunct my Venus/North Node, and she is the embodiment of what I wanted to look like and be like as a kid. I gave birth to my aesthetic/temperamental ideal! We walk alike, dress alike, have the same taste in food and music and art… and she’s not modeling me; she’s coming up with this stuff on her own.

Her retro Mars is exactly conjunct my retro Mars, in that same Venus/Mars opposition, so that tells me that I MUST act in a responsible manner in male-female relations because she is going to end up doing the same thing. In fact, I divorced her dad because I didn’t want her to grow up thinking that a marriage like ours was all she had to look forward to for herself. Don’t get me wrong - her dad is a saint and the best father you could possibly ask for, it’s just that we are so much better friends than spouses. And it just so happens that her Venus is exactly conjunct HIS Sun and Venus and Mercury, so she’s going to learn the ideal male stuff from his side.

It is and has been so very painful for her that her dad and I can’t be together (Sun/Saturn), but we try to mitigate this by maintaining a fair and friendly co-parenting relationship. We even do family dinners sometimes and we all three go out on Halloween and Easter, stuff like that. That’s the best modeling we can do under the circumstances. And despite the hard lesson she’s learned that love isn’t always enough to keep two people together, she’s accepted it and is thriving.

There are too many conjunctions and similarities between our charts to list. It’s an intricate and beautiful kaleidoscope, and every way you turn it, there’s a order to it. We are divinely contracted to love each other and learn from each other, that much is so very clear.

i am enjoying this story. Avery- i really enjoyed yours too. Yes I have looked at my childrens charts, but as i am fairly new to this, they certainly require more study. i cannot remember how many times i watched ‘beauty and the beast’ with my daughters but i would venture a guess of at least six times.
