Speaking Of The Limitations Of Astrology - Here’s What Astrology Can Do… Help Your Child

Astrology in real life

epi_location.jpgI realized I didn’t answer Jessica’s question with the last blog so here goes:

As far as my son goes, I look at his Sun conjunct Saturn and I am aware of how difficult his struggle are and I just feel if he gets this one thing nailed… if he has someone he loves who loves him he will be able to cope with the rest. The soldier and I have a similar set up and this is why I think this whole thing will be so good for all of us.

Good for the soldier and I, obviously but also for my son who will be able to see right up close how love works. Although I have been in love in his lifetime he has not been able to witness this for complex reasons which have finally been resolved. So I am thrilled at having the opportunity to expose him to what I value (love and relationship) as I know we have this in common.

Vidorid has the genetic connection with me and an astrological connection with the soldier (both Taurus, both have ruler Venus in Gemini and they share Scorpio at the same degree) as well as the fact they are both men… serious men.

Further, my son has a (major) opposition between Aries and Libra in his chart - energy the soldier and I embody and work with on a daily basis so you can see the universe has really set this up.

aries opposite libraWe will be able to show him how to work with the conflict inside of him - Love and War. He will see both of us assert ourselves and compromise. He will see us fight for love, have passion and peace, etc. So anyway this would be one of the things astrology CAN do.

Without astrology I would still know my kid was having a hard life. With it, I know exactly what will ease things for him. A chart really is an x-ray and in my son’s case there is an epicenter and if you can shoot the Novocain there, he’s going to be fine.

I can tell you this for sure because the soldier and I feel exactly the same. You can send us a nuclear war and we’re going to be just fine as long as we’re together. Whatever it is, we’ll figure it out. And for us to know this, live this and teach him this, I think it will be invaluable to my son. In fact I’d say he will be loaded for bear which he richly, richly deserves.

He certainly does! And you both deserve this love too…you all do.

Thanks kashmiri - I am thinking we lost 30 years. If we can spare him the same fate it would really be something

Sweetness! I’m %110 convinced you’re sparing him already.
Some of us humans only need to be showed a peek of the love that the Universe holds…endless potential…and we are off with the races.
I bet Vidroid is that kind of being. He sounds like it, anyway. :)

As a Sun/Saturn conj (square Moon, which doesn’t really help), what I can say is that we don’t necessarily need anyone who love us, but only people who unconditionally love us the way we are. Our feeling is that we are NEVER doing well ENOUGH no matter what. So having someone tell you “you know, it’s OK, I love you the way you are and you’re doing good enough” is a tremendous relief. I didn’t get that when I was 8, and spent almost 30 more years to figure that out, so your son is very lucky to have you and the soldier who are there for him, no matter what.

As another Sun/Saturn conj./square Moon I have to say AMEN! It took me almost 50 years to find the person to give me that amazing relief - it breaks so many inner chains. All I can say is, carrying that around does make me see others in the same predicament and I was able to see my stepdaughter when her own parents were absolutely clueless.

I would love to fix up Vidroid with my Sun/Saturn daughter and see what happens. ;-)

Really, it’s wonderful that you’re consciously modeling a deep and powerful relationship for him. He won’t settle for anything less once he grows up.

i’d love to figure out how to get some novocaine for my kid.

i’ve got a feeling (can’t explain it) that he’s going to go to war and he’s got so much cancer… i want to teach him how to use what he has to keep his heart together. don’t know if i can.

but cancer confuses the heck out of me. you think i’d know better having so many in my family but the layers of complexity they use to face the world and protect themselves baffle me. and sometimes they work and sometimes they just make for a brittle brittle person.

Cancer here, Moon square Saturn. I hated school when I was young. When I was about 6, my mom took my hand, kissed my palm, and closed my fingers up around the kiss. She told me that if I was having a tough day, I should just open up my hand and her kiss would be there. My mom is a Pisces with a Scorpio moon.

    Alma - that’s very sweet. :-)
