Saturn In Virgo - No Cancer… At Least Not Yet

Astrology in real life

virgoThe soldier has Saturn (fear) in Virgo (health) transiting his 6th house (health). Transiting Saturn is conjunct natal Pluto which would be textbook for a health / death scare and he got one. And while he does need a biopsy, we are somewhat less concerned after today’s visit to the doc.

What happened is he got his teeth cleaned. The dental hygenist did not like the look of his mouth so she called in the dentist. The dentist did not like the look of his mouth either…. good teeth and gums but something going on with the inside of one of his cheeks.

The dentist said while it did not look distinctly like cancer, oral cancer is disfiguring and also extremely aggressive so he ought to have this checked by an oral surgeon. The next day he saw his regular doctor who told him the same thing, calling the thing in his mouth, a “growth”. So while no one told him it looked like cancer, they did tell him there was something there to be concerned about and considering he has (had, he has since quit) smoked for 30 years this was a real situation. I mean aggressive cancer is aggressive cancer and apparently when it comes to oral cancer, it is rarely discovered until it is in late stages so do the math.

But anyway, he saw the oral surgeon today who is not sure what is in his mouth but said it does not look “alarming”… they will do a biopsy and find out exactly what is going on. There will be more delay on that, but so far so good and I am counting on the idea an oral surgeon knows cancer when he sees it.

saturnHe now has two more doctor appointments today and tomorrow (six appointments in 2 weeks) and if all goes well he will have faced all fears which is what Saturn asks for. Er… biopsy in a week hopefully on the dental thing and this afternoon he has a screening for the cancer that killed is father at this age (Saturn!) and apparently a grandfather as well. See how this goes?

People with late Pisces or Aries rising gets a double whammy like this. Saturn transits the sign and the corresponding house at the same time insuring the issues indicated come to the front and this is a good example. Since Saturn has gone into Virgo the soldier has quit smoking and completely restructured his diet. Am I on his ass? Well yeah. :-)

But we’re happy. Boy are we.

Anyone else feeling pressured to stay on top their health these days?

Yes. I nearly died of not giving a crap about myself earlier this week. (It hits me in the mental parts when I don’t take care of my body… and then my mind, very unhappy, does its best to do away with the body.)

We are going to try and get pregnant this summer and six months ago I made appts for bloodwork, gyno, etc to be sure I am ok…I feel good but am super focused on my health right now (I’m 35yo). I am also drinking decaf and hope to be drinking tea only by then.

I’ve always been like this…I don’t drink soda, eat well and walk daily.

    We’ll see how it goes!

I hope the Soldier and your fam will be ok. Blessings!

For sure! Like the Soldier I smoked for 20+ yrs (it’s been over 6 yrs since I quit) but I’ve been dealing with tooth pain as a result of receding gums on a couple of molars. While the dentist said my teeth & gums in general were in great shape, I still have to make sure I brush my teeth 2-3 times/day with special toothpaste to reduce tooth pain. And if I don’t follow Saturn in Virgo’s rules . . . OUCH! No slacking allowed! :)

:::smiling from ear to ear thinking of you two being together!!!::: :-D

I hope it’s nothing allarming, like the surgeon said.

Double-whammy for me (why does this word remind me of ice-cream?). So far nothing to worry about but I’m alert.

My mother has natal Saturn Virgo 6 House. It’s her Saturn return: her year of retirement and has been sick (many colds) since Saturn in Virgo.
I have asked her to read more (Virgo) and write more when she feels sick.
She then just got interested in astrology: Pluto just began transiting her 9 house.

I think u should look at the whole transits in the birth chart (Pluto, Uranus, Jupiter etc…)when it deals with Saturn transits. (Usually Uranus transit has a lot to do with what is happening there: it’s Saturn’s transit mirror)

Saturn now conjunct my Pluto in Virgo in 12th house. Enemies coming out of the woodwork, an old friend turning on me suddenly due to jealousy over my reconnection with old flame, and I was nearly hit by a car turning left on a red light yesterday on my drive home. And am having dental problems I can no longer afford to ignore. But no cancer of the mouth, thank God. I’m praying for you and the soldier, Elsa!

I don’t remember how I came upon your site but I love reading your post. I never thought I’d post here but, this is exactly how I feel. I’m a pisces. My birthday is towards the ending of pisces going into Aries. My health is so … out of wack. Emotionally torn when I could just fix my situation by just making an appointment and getting a couple papers turned in. Disappointing how I just mopped around for the past 4 months. I even started to make myself believe I didn’t need medical attention. I’m just glad you wrote this … WWAKE UP CALLL!!! .. I know I will..I just hope I take action ASAP which is in slow turtle mode..

I hope everything works out well for the soldier! I do not envy him with all those doctors visits.

Yes. Saturn in Virgo kicked me in the pants with food sensitivities. It took me a while to get a handle on it because I generally have such a healthy diet, but I have stopped drinking wine period. I have to read labels for food additives. When I am feeling wobbly some mornings I am not sure what I want to eat. Since I eliminated wine and yogurt of all things, it has stabilized a lot. i had a minor bout this week and am not sure what set me off, so that is frustrating.

still if that is the sum of my complaints I am doing really well!

The 102 year old was quoted to have said right up until he was 100 or so, ‘I don’t have any aches and pains so I am on top of the world’

i think Saturn in Virgo ate my comment

In 2005-7 while I had Saturn in my 6th house, I had four biopsies for different issues in diverse body parts, and all of them turned out benign. I pray that Soldier’s fate is as kind.

It happens quite frequently that the healing phases in life are accompanied by inflammations, growths, and other “illnesses”. So for instance when we finally free ourselves and make the change we wish and need, we often get sick. I experienced this many times, but it was easier once I learned to see it as a part of the healing. My best wishes to both of you!

  14. Cassi says on 2/28/08 at 11:40 pm:

Congrats on his change of habits and I hoping for all good news on his tests and doctor stuff. You are all in my prayers. You are always but he is a new addition. Good luck.

I’m glad the Soldier is taking care of business. I don’t envy all those visits, but they will soon be past and that is good.

My SO has 6 (6!) planets in his six house, split between Scorpio/Sagittarius…the last 15 years of Pluto has made some VERY crazy work/body events.
I’ve never met anyone who has the relationship with their physical body as he does. The 6th House is fascinating.

Myself, I’ve noticed I can’t drink and go without sleep like I used to…but I attribute that to departing my 20s :)

Want to know when the soldier’s worries are, hopefully, relieved.

I started a gluten-free diet, out of sheer necessity (meaning relapse isn’t even tempting), during this Saturn in Virgo phase. It’s amazing how literal astrology can be.

  17. Mari says on 2/29/08 at 6:27 pm:

Here’s a suggestion, for mouth issues, sore gums, aching molars, cavities, what have you, try swabbing with tea tree oil. It can be miraculous. Tastes like s–t but has helped me many times.

All the Best to you two.

I have a friend who’s daughter was diagnosed with matasticised brain cancer in December, she went right into hostice and died a few weeks ago. My friends daughter, young son and ex all had this heriditary brain problem, and all have died.

And another friend just got news that she has cancer cells on her cervix, but I think she’ll be fine.

    I didn’t think about the Saturn/virgo thing.

Conny, I like that, something to think about…
