Open Question - Are You Off Your Diet?

Since the full moon/eclipse, it seems like I, and many people I know, are just bloated beyond belief. Snacking on high carb items is also in the cards. Wondering if anyone else noticed a sharp increase in the past week or so on this?

 

 

I’d say the Mars Pluto opposition is creating high stress for everyone so anyone who tends to eat under pressure is going to be eating for sure. What helps is to keep in mind, condition are temporary and are in fact passing as we speak.

Heavy duty stress here too, and it’s bleeding out all over, literally (I managed, in trying to deal with too many things at once, to accidentally cut my finger and not realize it until someone pointed out that I was bleeding all over the place. Nice.)

I am eating again as I type this. I was doing well (not great, but okay) and then about a week ago I just said, “the hell with it.” I’m smoking cigarettes and eating like there’s no tomorrow.

Shaina, ha ha, it used to be Cheetos for me, too, for years, my junk food of choice, (only I would call it orange gunk vs dust). Now lately I’m hooked on Fritos. Just about every week I buy the Family size bag of Scoops, eat ‘em morning noon nite. Nine chips=160 calories. Thats like not even a handful.

But today,suddenly 5 lbs heavier than last week. Ugh. But I know I can handle it, luckily I like to move.

But at least I know I’m not going to start smoking again, not matter what. After 8 months. That was Huge for me. (And I know I could be real thin again if I just lit up).

Yes…definitely. I did well and had a salad and protein and then my husband brought me home a sub and chips and a cookie! Oye!! The temptation. Well. It’s not his fault. But still…no more stress baking,either!

And you’re right about the increased stress levels :( My job is killing me!

Stress = release of Cortisol, a hormone = weight gain
Stress = Consuming Carbs = release of Seritonin, a feel good hormome that counters cortisol= weight gain

Anyway you look at it ladies, we’re screwed.

I’m a live wire, so I go the other way. I’ve made a direct connection between full moons and loss of appetite. Total. My SO has to make me every meal because I literally cannot be bothered.
It’s not so weird: my mum, dad, and 2 of my 3 siblings are exactly the same.

Every time you write about the Taurus/Scorpio feast/famine thing, Elsa, I think about this.

I’ve had pasta the last two nights, and a pint of sorbet. Also, I had a little too much to drink the other night, and on my way home I bought a bag of cotton candy and some Lik-M-Aid sugar powder. (Anyone remember Lik-M-Aid?). Good news is that I quit smoking. Bad news - I am wearing two patches at a time, craving sugar, and having the most intense dreams.

I’ve been drinking this week which always makes me crave carbs (am a veggie anyway tho so nothing new). And mars is on my IC so i’m a bit of a fireball (for that read snappy old bitch) on the home front at the mo. Gets the housework done though. Interesting about the cortisol/stress/seritonin connection..

Not really, but I gave up a few things for lent. I’m not religious, but was raised catholic and enjoy practicing being humble…(leo sun, wha’?). I gave up cookies, pie, cake and candy bars. I have bought light ice cream though…..but I try to eat just a 1/2 cup and I’m not an ice cream addict, so that is easy. I’m a sugar addict!! I do miss pie….and I normally eat at least a cookie a day. Just one if I can and no more than 4 :-) Would saturn conjunct moon on the IC have anything to do with low food cravings?

I used to weigh myself daily, but now it’s once/twice a week. I tend to stay the same weight, but if I put on a few I just cut back on dessert. I prefer walking the dogs to help me relax while my SO likes to cook…that is his relaxation. He’s the food lover and is trying to lose 5 belly lbs…he’s pisces stellium with gemini asc and moon/saturn in the first.

actually, I’ve been much too stressed out to eat, but I feel bloated anyway. it’s even more frustrating, I’m having a difficult time across the board right now, but hey, it’s just another day in the life for me. I mean, when I’m stressed out, I lose my appetite completely. My father says that’s the only way he knows there’s something wrong, because I don’t show it. that’s moon/pluto on the ic I guess.

oh yes…stress baking for sure. cookies, muffins, bread, pasta. And chocolate, lots of chocolate. I’ve laid off the caffeine though since new year’s. we’ll see how that goes!

Seriously I have 4 bags of Lays that I finished yesterday along with bags and bags of hot cheetoes that I absolutely had to have once every day of this week… GOODNESSS I’m not usually picky but man.. I went to the bowling alley just to get a salted pretzel with cheese. What has gotten into me hahah

I was sick with the flu all last week, and I have indeed been stressed out…but when I’m under major stress, I DON’T eat. Result? I lost 6 pounds in the last 2 weeks (for a grand total of 13 since I started dieting), after seesawing for a couple of months. Now, since I’m feeling better, my challenge is to keep up with this “stress eating” and stay the heck away from the junk! ;)
