Astrology-Based Advice - Got Any Faves?
Astrology in real life
I need help! There’s a gal who is going to try to get me an astrology-based advice writing gig and she needs urls to five columns I think are good or that represent what I do. I have little perspective for this kind of this and wonder if any of you have either the skills to make recommendations or otherwise some advice you thought was particularly strong.
Thanks for whatever you can offer and notice how I am hitting you guys up all the sudden? I notice and I think it’s okay. I would like this blog to be (even) more interactive and this seems to be the effect.
I would chock this up to Saturn’s transit of my 8th house, I think. There is more structure and defining of the exchange of energy that takes place here. It feels right to me. You?

There are sooooo many good ones, but this one came to mind first as an exemplary piece. It really captures your ability to nail down the issue.

More as I think of them and find them….
Oh, and I adore this post about the man coming out at 69 years old. Not only were his letter and your advice beautiful, but the outpouring of support in the comments made this a post to remember.

i really liked one of your scorpio moon / moon conjunct pluto advice pieces over a year ago. i recall that it was multi-part.
hm, this must be it!:

Not to hog the comments here, but in January, there was the Virgo lady who was in profound domestic turmoil but was hesitant to sign a lease because of Mercury retrograde. This is great advice because you provided information that dispels the widely held myth that you should stop living your life under retro Mercury!

I thought the letter and your reply to the girl who got married at 14 was pretty good.
I agree with Grace. That advice the girl married at 14 was not what you normally would expect. “Take it slow and plan”. It was sensitive and showed a lot of insight into Capricorn psychology.
I like all the ones already linked
The one where you said “Redefine Christmas.”
I still think of that, a lot.
Oh, I loved her advice to the 14-year-old bride. They’re all good!
This one brought me to tears the other day and gave me a glimpse of hope. It’s really basic but Elsa speaks volumes in just a couple of paragraphs.

Oh or one of your eye on the sky posts!

like that
Elsa I love your talent for unusual metaphors–they show the depth of your creativity and while they are not the norm they are highly accessible.
I think “shaking hands with Casper” is my all-time favorite. That and “letting go of the rope.”
I can’t think of anything in particular but in terms of writing style, it is this and concise sentences that keep my mind engaged. I think what you are asking is links to sites that are similar to what you do, and if that is the case, I would recommend Neith’s site not just because I love it but because it is extremely well written (must be a Mars/Mercury thing you both share!)
I also am very fond of Jm over at Raging Universe. Sorry I’m not posting links (I’m not on my own computer).
Okay it must be Mercury Rx…columns meaning yours and not other peoples! Ahhh sorry. I’ll return with my brain later.
This is a really good post about something non-relationship-oriented, if you want to throw a parent/kid advice thing into the mix. Because you soooo have a knack for that, too.

This blog blew my mind. This is the best advice EVER.

Thanks, Alma. Thanks everyone, this has been enormously helpful and in fact you guys did my work for me so thanks a million!!
Heck, Elsa, your whole blog is just one big “Best Of.” Cheers and good luck with the new writing gig!
