Speaking Of LEO - Let’s Talk About Them, They Love That!
Astrology in real life
When I think of Leo the firs thing I think of is hair so on that note:
Moon Maintenance Plan: Hair Secrets From The Heavens by Susan Larsen
And I just want to point out that Alfred Hitchcock was a Leo and how dramatic was he? And how confident! Theater, man. What would we do without it?
And what about “The Greatest Show On Earth!” Too much ego in that you think?
How about we all go PC and call our productions “Good Show But No Better Than Yours!” It’s ludicrous. The sun SHINES in Leo.
For that matter the Sun itself is Leo ruled and no one is going to be around for long if that thing burns out.
I cringe at the idea of a world devoid of Leo energy. That girl in the gym who works out in full makeup, dripping in gold jewelry and drapes her jacket onto the crosstrainer next to her as a if were the cape of a queen? What is that if not entertainment for Godsakes?

That last part is too funny!
I love how you put it: “if the sun burns out no one is going to be around for long.”
Leos may drive ya crazy, but life without crazy is just boring. I have many a Leo and they are sunshine-makers as well as drama queens.
Sag on the other hand… Sag scares me sometimes…
I hafta call bunk on the link. Sorry, guys. According to Ms. Larsen, as an Aquarius moon my hair should be dry and brittle and grow slower than empires (and yet not quite so vastly). But I’ve got perfectly normal hair that grows quickly and is healthier than any of my female friends’.
Then again I very, very rarely process it and I don’t style my hair. The most damaging thing I do is wear a ponytail. Oh, and I’m a Leo. That automatically means great hair, right? ![]()
Leo sun/gem moon here and my hair is down to my mid-back, thick, black and very wavy…..I did have it short for about ten years (which I didn’t love, but was ok) and was during my ascendant in progressed aries…it’s in taurus now…and love love love the long hair I had in my youth!
Oh and I have to admit I do what April said…and I try to temper it though it is hard when there is ‘drama’ in my life. I do call her about 4/wk to chat and hear her voice and hear about her family….and if I didn’t call she wouldn’t (with three young kids!!) She’s a Sag and awesome.
I love my family so much (leo)
Happy day to all!
Umm…I call my sister that much (maybe more). Really.
My 5 year old daughter is a Leo; she is full of drama and is very much the sunshine in our lives. We needed her fired up Leo energy around here. I am a restrained and serious Capricorn and the husband is a moody, dark Cancer. Our daughter has a head full of thick beautiful hair and it is even the color of a lions hair: a golden, blonde with red sparkly highlights in it. The funny part is my husband and myself are both brunettes! (No mystery though, she gets it from my mom, sister and grandmother who are all blondes and redheads)
Elsa, I love your site and I check it out everyday. Not as knowledgeable in astrology as all the other posters, but I’m learning! I have Leo sun, Scorpio moon, I’m 52 y/old w/a full head of thick salt/pepper hair, and I have a very Leonine question for the poster who said, “Leos may drive ya crazy, but. . .” and here it is: WHY do Leos drive people crazy? No, seriously! I have wondered this for a long time - is it the ego, because not all Leos are insufferably egotistical but we got stuck w/that rap. And I know so many people that are not Leos but are serious drama kings/queens, so it can’t be the drama thing, can it? Oh! Is it because we love nothing more than to endlessly talk about ourselves? Is that it? Smile . . . I think I answered my own question, right?
Thanks for all the good stuff, Elsa! And all the posters, too! I really have learned a lot from you, and enjoy checking you guys out every morning. This is the first time I’ve ever posted though, I think. I’m from North Dakota, I live in a small rural town, and conversations like the ones you guys have are VERY hard to come by around here, let me tell you. Thanks again!
My Leo venus adores Leo suns! Never thought about it much, but I think I may be like a Mini-Me/ wannabe..lol..dear God. My dearest friend, and sometimes a bit more :), is a Leo. And there is just something about him that enthralls me like no one ever has. I think it is actually the way he can externally appear to be dispassionate and only marginally interested, and yet within I can feel his engines roaring. No purr with him ever, all ROAR. YUM…
Dear Leo’s..wishing you a spectacular month!! Love ya’!
Y’know, I’ve met some Leos who aren’t really that confident. In fact they were donwnright melancholy some of the time (although I wonder if that partly because they were a bit younger and hadn’t really learnt how to shine).
And yet their low self-esteem came from a similar place to your more stereotypical leo: self-absorption. No, that’s not quite the right word. I don’t mean “I’m so wonderful, look at me! why don’t people realise I’m great?”, It was more that they found it hard to step outside of themselves and see other people’s point of view and realise that others liked them.
Also, I don’t know one of these Leo’s chart, but the other had saturn conjunct Sun and a virgo moon also loosely conjunct, so no wonder…
I love me some Leos. Love love love them, and I know how to pay attention in a satisfying way. Win win.

I also like how Hitchcock couldn’t stay behind the camera, he had to make a cameo in all his films.
