Pluto In Capricorn: Who Is Trendy Now, Baybeeee?

Astrology in real life

elsa in desertToday I had to tell a Capricorn rising that she was going to have to take out the powerful authority figure she admires because she is the reeeal powerful authority figure and with Saturn coming to conjunct her natal Pluto on the midheaven in a couple years, there is no doubt.

Is he the father? She is the father and I have to admit it was fun to do. And it smacks of Pluto in Capricorn, I really feel a buzz.

I feel a buzz because I know I am a person of depth (Pluto) and substance (Capricorn) and I think I am actually coming into style.

This happened once before you know you and it really through me for a loop. I am the kid in the picture there and none too stylish.

Anyway, I wrote this in 2001 about my last turn on top the wheel…

pastaWhat happened is ’round about 1992 I woke up to find that pasta was in style. If you are in Italy or New Jersey or New York, then this might not make sense to you but in my part of the world, “pasta” was not even a word. “Spaghettios” was a word for sure. And perhaps “spaghetti”. But if you said “pasta” no one knew what you were talking about so you didn’t say it, you just ate it.

Now imagine my surprise when all of the sudden pasta goes trendy and chic restaurants start charging $25 for a plate of it with a little oil and a mushroom or two.

Surprise turns to shock when people line up to pay this price for 30 cents worth of food. I was really amazed and asked my sister, “Does this mean we are in style?”

“Yes!” she said. “We are in style as a matter of fact.” And she would know because she’s cutting edge in all departments. “Just look at who’s on the runways these days. They are starting to use darker models. They have never put women our color on a runway, but you’re seeing them now. They’re popping up here and there and mark my words, this trend will continue…”

So what happened is just like a sun dried tomato, I was elevated from “peasant” to “exotic tasty morsel”, and this was funny to note if you’re me. And now it’s almost 10 years later and carbs are bad BAD. Just read around. Pasta is bad BAD and so what does this do to my desirability factor and who do you think is going to ride high next?

So now I’ll answer my own question. Elsa P rides high next.

Do you think Pluto in Capricorn be positive for you personally?

Yes!

I remember when my daughters bought me a book called ‘What a day Dad had!’ It was actually a book you would read a to a five or six year old, but they were 14 and 11. We all had a good laugh!

Yes, I think that I will do well, said earth sign, but I think it will take the kind of comittment that you take on when you raise a child. It’s a long term commitment and it has a lot of roll up your sleeves kind of energy.

But in order to do well, we have to remember that there is more to life than hard work. We need to remember to not take ourselves so seriously. Laugh and have fun. Live life to the max.

And just think of the fun you haven’t had yet!

Make Plans have dreams and goals to look forward to, and when you are realizing a dream for god’s sake remember to live in the moment and not be just thinking about the next goal.

Oh great!!! I have to go my youngest daughter just called. She lives 800 miles away [University in the frozen North of all places.] and of course I talk to her every chance I get!

It’s 5 AM where i’m now and I haven’t been able to sleep. I’m a Capricorn ascendant :) I didn’t even know that Pluto would change signs today and I haven’t had any sleep / conscience problems as of late, so I hope that this isn’t a sign of what’s to come, for us Cap risings at least.

All I can wish for now is that with all the changes Pluto in Capricorn may symbolise, whatever we do in 15 years time, at the end of each day, we still be able to rest our heads on our pillows and simply have a good rest.

Happy ingress, everyone! I am popping a bottle of champagne in a matter of minutes and toasting Her Royal Badass Hipness and my fellow royal subjects. Hail Capricorn and bring it on!

Good idea Avery Why not celebrate?

Mar, I am with you on the sleep thing. I didn’t sleep well last night either, but I think it was a food/drink thing.

So perhaps I will pass on the champagne tonight.

Somehow I think being fully awake [conscious] for this is going to prove important.

The Rip Van Winkle thing isn’t going to work. Although I am sure some people would like to sleep right through this and wake up after it is done.

Mar, your time zone, France? Holland? Denmark?

I can’t drink wine or champagne anymore. It’s a food sensitivity thing. Makes me sick, which is really a shame because I used to have a taste for good Red Wine.

I will offer up a toast with a glass of beer however.

To Pluto in Capricorn!

Cheers!

So strange. I too used to enjoy a glass of red wine. Well, not any more. I would like to cling my glass with Pluto but I haven’t figured out yet with what. I wasn’t fond of fish because of the smell. Now I crave for fish. Not that I would lost the sense of smell but it doesn’t bother me any more. Yes! It is time for change. Hope the change will also reach my empty pockets.

After getting steamrolled by Pluto for since 1995 (Sag stellium) I’ll be glad to see what he brings next. I also slept terribly last night as well, but made a humongous decision (for the better).

Argh! I conveniently “forgot” Pluto would be squaring my Libra stellium while crossing my descendant at the same time! Man, I finally feel like I’m crawling out of the Saturn Return hole I’ve been in. . ..
At least I have about a year before I should be feeling the effects, I normally don’t notice a transit until it’s close and lose it reeeaaaallly quick once it passes exact.

Not looking forward to this at all. :(

Yesterday I had the strong feeling, “I’m baaaaaaaaaack”! Pluto will take a while to cross my Ascendent (16 degrees Cap) but he’s rockin’ and rollin’ through my 12th, is natal in my 8th and that’s okay with me. I guess you could say I’m Plutonian, as well, and since Pluto crossed my Scorpio Moon and Midheaven in the ’80’s, I learned to accept he’s going to have his way with me and do my best to enjoy the ride. Reading your experiences helps a lot, especially when I feel alone and crazy.

It’s 6 ish in Oregon and I’m about to weed my garden. We’ve had record heat waves these past weeks and does “hot” ever bring about perspective!

Due to technical problems with the server, the only website I could access this morning was Elsa Elsa! Isn’t that great? My server was down (for the most part) and yet all of you came through loud and clear. Now that’s power. LOL

I didn’t sleep much either, but that’s because I watched “The Deer Hunter” again - at 3 am. It had been years since I saw it last, but Elsa reminded us of it’s timelessness and I had to order it via Netflix. Now there’s a Plutonian film!

Hey, why do I want pasta and red wine for breakfast??? Hmmmmm?
