Saturn In Virgo: Oklahoma City Mayor Puts City on a Diet - The UK Government Also In On The Act
Outtakes and Various Other Sundries
How’s this for the government (Saturn) getting involved in diet and health (Virgo)?
Oklahoma City Mayor Puts City on a Diet
Sean Murphy writes:
“With a button-popping spread of cornbread, sausage and gravy, chicken fried steak and pecan pie designated as Oklahoma’s official state meal, it’s no surprise that Oklahoma City’s mayor wants to put the city on a diet…”

And what about this:
Health, safety and food origin main issues for UK policy
Laura Crowley writes:
“The UK government has set in motion a review of food policy and strategies with the publication of an analytical study on current and emerging food trends…”
Have you changed your diet since Saturn entered Virgo in September 2007?

Another interesting tid bit:
I am thinking about a ‘cleansing’ diet of rice/kimchee. I do not want to loose weight, but do want to ‘feel’ cleaner inside. Also my blood test came back and am good on cholesterol, kidney function, etc..
I work on and think about my health all the time, so not really surprised…but nice to get the confirmation.
Woo-hoo!!
Good luck to everyone’s health.
I had to - I got on the scale for the first time in a while right after the holidays. Let’s just say there’s more to love. I’ve gained 15 pounds since Saturn went into Virgo. I guess my Jupiter return in Sagittarius (expansion anyone?) overrode the influence. But I’m getting back on it. I used to be huge and I refuse to go back. So on January 1 - along with half the world - I got back on my eating plan. I’m counting on Saturn in Virgo to help.
For the first few months of Saturn in Virgo I was on a diet that could only be described as gluten and carb heaven. I have the body type that can get away with it, but I started to feel so *ugh* *ugh* *ugh*
Making a conscious effort to eat better and it feels good. I am growing highly intolerant to alcohol, as is my SO. It feels good going down but when I wake up the next day I feel like I’m having an aneurysm, no kidding.
Gem–I ate tons of kimchee last night and boy did I have a “cleansing” ths morning! haha….It was well worth it though
TMI?
I’m not feel the urge to snack either and if I do, it’s a piece of fruit. The chocolate cravings are a thing of the past . . . very weird but can’t complain! The expansion brought on by a Jupiter/First House transit has stopped and I’m hoping to seeing a gradual decrease in size. Certainly eating better and have significantly reduced the stress load since Saturn moved into Virgo!
I’m just not hungry and lost way too much weight.
Some government are concerned about other kind of energies “feeding” us:
The french government has just issued warnings to urge *caution* on children use of cell phone (virgo is ruled by mercury!) because children may be more vulnerable than adults to the potential health risks of EMF, and may damage DNA and cause benign brain tumors.
Me too, Neith. I couldn’t get enough chocolate last summer, but when Saturn hit Virgo, I quit pretty much involuntarily. I started working more hours, which cut into my exercise schedule, which lowered my metabolism, which curbed my appetite, especially for sugar. I don’t even think about sweets these days but I crave fresh greens. Weird to think that stopping exercising made me lose weight. Of course, I’ve lost muscle mass, too, so that’s where some of it went.
Mom–that’s hilarious, and not TMI for some of us. Personally, I was going to tell Gem about the person I know who, ahem, discovered rice in their system, while on a cleanse.
Considering they hadn’t eaten rice in a MONTH, they were suitably alarmed.
Haha Mom! Gem, my favorite kind of diet is Ayurveda. The best thing to do is see an Ayurvedic practitioner and have them tell you what to eat. When I go to the ashram, even if I heap very little food on my plate, I’m satisfied and don’t think about food after I’m done. Which is kind of a bummer because we don’t realize how weird it is to be without an inkling of this desire until we get hungry again. I notice that red foods that are tangy or the combination of sweet and salty (as in Keebler chocolate chip cookies), but particularly tangy and salty stimulates us to eat more. I mean Italian food like pizza and pastas with red sauces. No offense, Elsa. As well as Caesar salads with their dressings and the like. I noticed when my weak-willed aunt decided to take us to eat pizza after the ashram, which I couldn’t understand because I felt so cleansed, like such a culinary goody goody, almost like a Virgo, hehe, that I was first restrained, only ate half a slice and progressively started to want more later. Kimchi is a good example of food that I think combines tastes, tangy and spicy, in a way that makes you want to eat more of it. Rice constipates you, though. And kimchi irritates the stomach.
As for me, the forces of nature are pushing me to get back on the treadmill, lose the weight, and learn to cook. I’ve got to take advantage of Saturn in Virgo because my daily routine is what has been screwing with my life.
I became allergic to coffee almost immediately after Saturn went into Virgo. Now I am finding that I can drink it, but only if I take lots of calcium and magnesium supplements!

I find that I don’t snack so much late at night anymore. It wasn’t something I planned on doing, but I just noticed it over the last few months.
Can Saturn stay in Virgo please? hehe
