I’ve been married twice, and after both divorces, in both cases, would you believe that the first guy I went on more than one date with was born on the same day/year as the ex-husband?

In the first case, the Astro Twin was as negative and controlling as the Ex-Husband #1; my two-month experience with him, which was a microcosm of everything that happened in my marriage, confirmed that I had indeed done the right thing in leaving my husband. I was having second thoughts, and Astro Twin was the cure.

In the second case, the Astro Twin was a wonderful guy, had absolutely nothing “wrong” with him, but my feelings never went beyond the platonic. My experience with him confirmed that Ex-Husband #2 was, similarly, better suited as a friend and parenting partner than as a romantic companion. This Astro Twin helped assuage the guilt I felt for divorcing my daughter’s dad and breaking up the family.

I haven’t met my own Astro Twin, however… and maybe that’s a good thing. I imagine she would annoy me to no end.
