Sun Conjunct Saturn @ 8 Years Old - 2000 Piece Puzzle, Day 2: Family Patterns, Similarities and Differences

Catch up here - 2000 piece puzzle

puzzle 2My son and I both have an emphasis on Aries and Libra energy and it’s been interesting to note we approach this puzzle thing in the same way. That is, we are working on this project both together and separate.

At times we work together but we are both drawn to complete the challenge (Mars) and achieve the goal (Strong Saturn) so we have a hard time walking by this thing. Consequently we are both steadily working all day.

He takes a break to play one of his Christmas computer games independently. I do same to post a blog and then we’re back on task.

We also flip back and forth on the axis of the opposition. For example, he started the Mountain Dew can and then offered it to me while he started on the top corner there.

Being highly mutable, I go round and round and am responsible for all the little bits you see. In contrast he is fixed and so responsible for the large block that is completed.

If you have kids, how easy is it to see yourself in them? If you don’t have kids, can you see how you act like your parents?

I have kids (8 & 10) and man oh man do I see myself in what they do, how they react (it’s nuts, bc my son (10) is so logical and cool about most thing, minus getting frustrated bc people don’t act like they ’should’! and my daughter loves everyone yet has terrifically HUGE emotional spurts…both equal halves of me!) to the point where outside people comment on how much they are me.

They are a lot like their father, too. Which just increases the weird, cos we’re not the same kind of person. :-)

My oldest daughter Asia reminds me so much of me. My mom always said that I NEVER wanted to play with toys, all I wanted to do was get some paper and crayons and color for hours. Also, I would put on these plays all by myself in my room and act for every character (typical leo kid). Asia comes home from kidergarten everyday and insists on being locked up in her room to color and practice her letters. All the while you can hear her talking to herself, something like monologues. My youngest (3), she is so fearless and outgoing, while I was outgoing, I was NOT fearless and can remember being self-conscious from the first day I can remember anything about myself. So ya, the fearlessness and competitiveness comes from their daddy, because it sure as hell doesn’t come from me, lol.

Oh yeah, and out of ALL the gifts she got, which was a lot between me and hubby and both sets of grandparents, her favorite is a PUZZLE. :)

Totally! Sometimes I’m talking and I think: I sound just like my mother! or I’m making faces like my father does.
It’s something that I can’t help, although I’d like to be more original sometimes.

My SN is in Aries, and my mother is an Aries…my NN is in Libra and my Dad is a Libra. I am a lot like my Mom in that I like to move forward in life and not look back.
I’m much like my Dad in that I just want people to get along (like many a youngest child in a large family) and I’ll smile and say ‘forget about it’ to keep the peace.
I remember being about 10 years old and asking my Dad why he liked me and having him answer ‘Because you’re the most like me.’ Ha ha, isn’t that what you’re NOT supposed to say to your kids? I wouldn’t know, I don’t have any.
My Dad and I are both stellar performers in a crisis, but my Mom and I are both emote a lot more than we realize at first.

Whenever I am facing a crisis, I stop and think “How would Dad cope?” although I am seeing how much my NN is tied into his automatic responses to life, in general. It’s a gift, really.

both of my parents have quite a few cardinal sign planets, as do i. lots of “trying to conquer the world” and lonely cowboy kind of energy, mostly from a passive mindset - my mom has mars+saturn, my dad and i both have libra mars. my dad has as many mutable planets as i do, so we’re both “witty” (aka rude to strangers). i have moon+venus+jupiter, and he has the same dynamic, and it’s apparent in that we’re both hobby obsessive and can feel social energy very well. i have saturn in 1st and really hate it when people see me as lazy or unable, and my mom is hyper-responsible and intent on always looking put together - typical capricorn. my mom and i are both stronger than typical women seem or are supposed to be. … in short, yes.
