Talk, Talk! Come On All You Tricksters - Mercury Types Weigh In
Astrology in Real Life
It was a great conversation I had with cf perez and we were talking about dialogue, or she was. cf is one of the people out there who can see me clearly. About her Sun in the twelfth, she said, ‘It’s not a great place to have your Sun, right there in the asshole of everything but if you get it working right it can light up some very dark places…” and she always manages to do this for me.
She’s a quirky broad, I don’t think she’d mind me stating the obvious and being as she is a double Gemini she always has an “interesting” way of expressing her thoughts and feelings and she view my life as nothing but a series of dialogue.
It’s almost funny to think about. I am forever posting dialogue and when I write stories, they are full of dialogue which I am able to remember verbatim decades after a conversation took place. But that was not her point.
Her point was akin to my point about the storytelling. I am not going to tell certain stories. And in fact I will write about that next because I have been planning to and it’s a different point, but she explained, “It is all about the dialogue you are having. Who you are having a dialogue with and what the two of you are talking about. There are some things you want to have a dialogue about and other things you do not want to have a dialogue about because you’ve either heard enough of it…”
“I’m bored.”
“Yes, you’re bored so you’re not talking about that anymore.”
I laughed because she’s so right.
“Or it maybe it’s a person. There may be a person you no longer want to dialogue with.”
“Yep, that happens. Soon as I figure out they are wasting my time I just can’t stand it,” I said, thinking of those bastards in the gym who bother me.
“Yes! And you quit talking and you start talking about something else…”
I wanted to share this because I think it’s so powerful. For me, whatever I am communicating, is what I am living. So if I quit communicating about something, it dies and the next thing is born. And I wonder if other Mercury types can relate - so can you?

I can totally relate.
I love what you wrote here (thanks to cf, too). Many people have a stunted view of what constitutes dialogue, or they miss the non-verbal cues that are so important to communication, they ignore that when you’re trying to end a conversation…manners get ignored, and a big club isn’t always an option, LOL!
What usually happens for me is that my wacky Mercury opposed Uranus comes in and “abruptly” departs the “dialogue.”
Yes, yes, yes. This should be taught in school. If something does not serve you anymore: change the conversation. It goes for inner dialogues too. Maybe more than anything else.
Totally agree with Amber about changing inner dialogues. It takes focus and practice but it can be done! I was sooooo bored with these old tired tape loops featuring petty crap, it was a relief to be able to stop them . . .
heh, still have to listen to my SO’s though - a good lesson in when to let well enough alone. Love the man the way he is. period, end of story
