Saturn In Virgo Diet - I’m On A Five Day Streak! Freedom From Repetition Compulsion

Astrology in real life

rat faceI am on day 5 of my streak and having no trouble maintaining and thought it might be worthwhile to point out how powerful it is when you are able to identify the patterns in your life an circumvent the phenomena termed repetition compulsion

When I was in my teens I got fat eating and eating and eating with the soldier (a Taurus). See, I had never had access to unlimited food in my life so I had no concept you could eat too much and have things happen. This was out of my realm. So I did gain about 50 pounds before noticing (Venus Neptune) and refused to marry the soldier shortly after realizing this.

We broke up when I said no to his proposal, although neither of us knew why. He didn’t know why I would not marry him (I sure as hell wasn’t going to tell him) but we figured since we weren’t getting married, “I guess that means were broken up.” And so we were.

He then left for a month… the trip home I was supposed to take with him, got drunk and fell asleep in bathtub and all that.

So we broke up, he left, I was fat and I went on a diet to beat all diets. Man oh man oh man. Every time I wanted to eat I did sit-ups! I did a lot of sit-ups but what the hell. I was 17 years old. And as I shrunk to tiny, I fell into the clutches of the evil “Darth Vader” who I wrote about in my book.

taurus jewelry oldVader was a Scorpio and there you go. I went from significantly overweight to somewhat underweight and set up the pattern which I went on to repeat for the rest of my life. Hooked up with a Taurus? Get fat. Go find a Scorpio - Get skinny.

I am not sure how aware the average person is of how empowering and liberating it is when you put 2 and 2 together like this. Because I am telling you, I have been trying to get on top my recent overeating on a daily basis for 6 or 7 months and then BAM. Ever since I realized this all I have to do when it occurs to me to go off, is I remind myself I am with Taurus (Sun) AND Scorpio (Moon) now, so everything is cooooooool.

“Oh, she’s with a Taurus, she is going to get fat”. I am vaguely disturbed to be such a rat… ie a predictable creature but…

Have you ever enjoyed this kind of rapid progress after identifying a pattern?

Why, yes Elsa…but can I just say it’s nice to see you? And please send some love to your lovely kids!

Last year, I ran into someone I knew in an office tower elevator. As we chatted he preened in the mirror, totally unconcerned that I was watching him. I found it completely amazing that he could do that…

To make a long story short I realized the shame I was holding for a long time. There is a story, a definitive moment in my past that gave birth to that shame, surrounding my mum.
Resulting in shame of having someone watch me as I look in the mirror, shame about body, relfections, etc.
I think it was an issue of my 1st House Moon in Capricorn.
As soon as I remembered what happened to me and how the pattern had played out for a lifetime, BOOM, it disappeared.

I thought because I ‘accepted’ my body, I accepted my reflection (my Moon is square Pluto in the 9th, natally). I accept both now, and I have a lawyer to thank (very 9th House).

Well, I’ve lost weight lately due to the fact that I haven’t been able to get my outdoor exercise. Counterintuitive? Well, when I bike my ass off, I get hungry. Constantly. And when the weather isn’t conducive to doing that (and it hasn’t been sunny and mild in Albuquerque since before Thanksgiving), I stay inside with my books and my thoughts, and my metabolism isn’t quite as stimulated. My muscle mass recedes, and so does my appetite.

Seriously, there’s a pint of Ben & Jerry’s Dublin Mudslide in the freezer (my absolute favorite), and because my only source of exercise this week has consisted of the 2.5-block walk from my car to work instead of 40+ miles/week biking, I’m simply not tempted to pad myself with anything extra. I haven’t had anything to eat since breakfast, have no desire to, and it’s kind of worrisome. I miss being ravenous.

Yes! After 7 years of back-to-back relationships, all of which ended the exact same way, I finally am figuring it out. With my libra rising, I played nice until my face ached from smiling. The tension would build, then I would run amok and blow the whole thing sky high. Meet someone new and exciting, exist on adrenalin, sex and intrigue, then begin the gradual process of turning my lover into an authority figure. But now, I don’t have to be the ‘bad guy’! I just needed to get a life, get off my ass, stop thinking about what everyone else wants or needs, and do the things I like to do. It feels so good that I wake up grinning at 3 a.m.

i realized i had a pattern of hooking up with total assholes in my youth, so i went to therapy. (got 7th house saturn in pieces). got my head straigtened out a bit, and hooked up with the wonderful man i’m married to today.

    does that count?

This may sound like a strange question, but what happens when you recognize your pattern? For me, it was always angry, selfish men. I got in tune with my own stuff, am working it out, and now no longer want the angry, selfish guy. (Who I tend to starve myself around.) I mean, I liked certain aspects of it–and they will always be me (intelligent, curious, bright), but is it normal to go through transition then wake up one day and everything’s changed?
