Jupiter In Capricorn… I Am Committed To Broadcast

Astrology in real life…

goat faceDoing the live TV was a strange experience but I feel happy after the fact. I told a pal I like myself when I have balls and I think this is what it takes to do something like this especially under suck a chaotic sky. However, it reflects my commitment. I am going to broadcast, by God. Regardless of fear, sluggish computers, bad hair or whatever else comes up.

Thanks to everyone who participated. I feel satisfied with how it went and optimistic it will go better in the future when I get more accustomed to the artificial rhythm. I am pretty sure I am going to cut loose one of these days and treat you all to my A-Attitude but did not find that possible first day on the job.

“How did it go?” the solider asked.

“Oh, okay. It felt like the first day I ever tended bar. I’m not good at it yet but I think I will become good at it…”

It is interesting I started tending bar a Saturn cycle ago. I think this is the same thing exactly so it feels very normal while simultaneously abnormal. Anyway, these are my thoughts.

If you saw the show, please share your ideas or impressions if you like. Especially if you have any ideas how to deal with the delay because I am very keen to have this thing start to rock after as short a learning curve as possible.

That’s so weird… I didn’t notice much of a delay at all.

Maybe you can’t see it? When I talk, it does not broadcast for about 5 seconds so everything is delayed for me (and I am SPEEDY). This is why I cannot look at the pic while I talk because it’s disorienting / distracting. Consequently I can’t see what others are seeing which is fine… just takes some getting used to.
And very Venus Neptune. I have to hide myself from myself do I won’t be confused. :)

I thought it was great! When’s the next one?

Didn’t notice a delay either. Is there some way we can clearly differentiate questions as opposed to comments? ?Like starting with a question mark? Make it easier for you to catch on the fly? this is so going to work for you, Elsa, very exciting stuff! Very ballsy to put this into motion during Mars Rx too….. :)

Okay, so if no one sees the delay but me, I ought to quit commenting on it!!

Yeah, Neith the question mark is a good idea. I guess I don’t know if I am having a conversation with the people in the chat (in which case there is delay between what I say and a typed reaction) or if I am lecturing and the chat room is interacting with itself!

I purposefully did not prepare for this at all so didn’t know what to expect other than I knew there would be a delay to deal with.

seekingzen, the next one is probably tomorrow and in whatever case, SOON. I have a billion ideas… I am fortunately / unfortunately inundated with ideas at all times. MY idea for tomorrow is this:

“If It’s In Your Chart, It’s Yours So Use It”

As you can see I am a one woman band fighting a war on projection. :-P

I wish I could have seen it. I watched a little, but I’m at work and they actually expect me to (gasp) work sometimes. Somehow a video about astrology just wouldn’t look right. I’ll watch at home tonight.

I was just thinking the delay only I can perceive? Another one of my hardships no one can see, LOL. Man of man, there is just no escape…

I could see just a few secs of it kinda warping on you, but am so tech unsavy that I can’t help you solve it. You were live on the phone though talking and moving the camera about a few minutes ago and there were four viewers. FYI, if that is a bedroom, I’d be careful about changing clothes in there as that camera thing could be live, unless you are an exhibitionist? …then go right ahead. :D

first of all, i enjoyed the show a lot, elsa. as i mentioned, i’ve been reading your stuff for a few years now, and i get a lot out of what you put out there. don’t say it every day, but i do want to make sure you know you’re heard and appreciated. so thank you.

On the show stuff, I saw a slight delay, but only part of the time and it varied, which i atttributed to changing conditions in the stream. and i don’t know how responsive the xanga server is in general, so that could be an issue at certain times of the day, for example. it wasn’t a problem watching it for me, but if i were watching myself talking with the delay like you did, i would have found it highly disorienting.

on ideas…it would probably help to have a set amount of time for the show. and i’m sure after a bit you’ll settle into a format…perhaps saying your piece for X minutes and then returning to the chat comments/questions. and while i enjoyed the whole show, i wouldn’t be able to spend that much time watching it routinely during a workday.

as the audience grows, you might also benefit from a helper to feed you the relevant questions at least part of the time you’re on, as i’m guessing it might prove challenging to keep it basically on topic. i imagine you’ll deal with the same types of issues you do in selecting questions for the blog- universal appeal vs. what essentially amounts to multiple, real-time requests for chart interpretations.

anyway, it was a great maiden voyage, i had fun with the other chatters, and your hair was bee-uuuu-tifully shiny!

peace out.
