Tolerance for people’s differences is another big issue for me. I am very keen for people to see there is a range of normal and wherever you fall in it is OK.

   sexologists are very careful with the pathological “stamp”, if people are happy with their sex drive they are totally fine on their perspective. If it causes a problem for them, then it’s a different thing.

   I used to have a HUGE sex drive as a teenager. I have sun conjunt mars in house 1.. trine pluto in the 8th. the ruler of my chart is in scorpio on the MC. Maybe that’s it, I really don’t see anything very obvious. house 1 accounts for early age right? saddly after 17 the sex drive started to decrease and went on until I was 25. I started sex life at 22. I changed sexual orientation. I think due to it. Women began to be much more appealing. Maybe because I didn’t feel like one myself. My hormonal levels were almost unexistent. This was due to being overweight, and it changed as soon as I lost weight. I’m 28 now and consider my sex drive as below average but still planning on working on it. My current boyfriend has the lowest sex drive i’ve ever seen in a man, so it doesn’t cause much of a problem “socially” but having been very sexual at one point, I really would like to go back to it somewhat at least.

   I’ve noticed people with mars-jupiter aspects have big libidos also mars in aries and scorpio.
   mars in cancer no so much. I wonder if koheli has some of her amazing statistics on this.

   I checked ‘average’ but what is average? We have sex most every day (when he’s not travelling). In most relationships it has been about 4-5/wk (except 1 SO where it wasn’t very sexual at all..more friends).

   Mars in Cap, Moon in Taurus, Sun in Scorp. So I have always had a pretty intense sex drive… but I have Venus in Libra opposite Saturn, so I have some discipline about it, for good or ill. Being in a relationship where I was being punished (secretly) by a total absense of sex was truly awful.

   with neptune/mars i’m very sensitive to my partner’s energy, and if it doesn’t click right i’m just not interested. (but when it does, oh my. it’s obvious.)

   I’d consider average sex drive as having or wanting sex 3 or 4 times a week.
   most men I know need to masturbate twice a day to be socially adequate during the day. I think that is high sex drive.
   In my teens i used to be able to have 7 orgasms a day :O well, i remember days when that happened, so it serves as an example for what i consider ninfomaniac.
   Low sex drive would be once or less then once a week.
   frigid would be if you don’t think about sex for several weeks and actually give up trying to have an orgasm once you actually try to.

    I voted for “very low” and only then read the comments, but by Viv’s standards enumerated above I’d say I got it about right.

    No idea where this shows up in my chart, unless it’s that Mars is in the 12th house and mostly operates unbeknownst to me.

    I think about sex a lot. And it definitely plays an almost daily role in my life, but.

    I have Mars in Capricorn square Pluto in Libra and sometimes I have to shut it off. I’ll find it too overwhelming, or I’ll get control issues about it where I feel either the other person is trying to control me, or like I’m taking control of them, both of which are repellant to me. They’re both semi square my 12th house Venus and every now and again I get undercurrents of that too I think.

    However Mars is also sextile Uranus from Scorpio and the 11th house and I’ll get sudden powerful urges, and if its in aspect with someone elses chart well. just. Wow. I can’t wait to get them into bed. And when I see them its probably all I’m thinking about.

    At least since my mid-20s, I’ve felt like I’ve been holding the reins of this beast. When sex is available, I’m voracious. When there’s no lover, the reins go slack and I hardly notice it physically. (mars conj venus in leo, squ neptune) I MUCH prefer the former.

    If it were possible to chart hormone levels over the years with one of those seismograph pens, mine might look like: EARTHQUAKE…calm calm calm…CATACLYSM…calm calm calm calm calm (snore snore)…tremor…zzzzzz…and so on.

    got mars in scorp, and consider my sex drive high, but i’d have trouble keeping up with some of the folks here.

    i don’t consider low sex drive (or even no sex drive) necessarily pathological, but i also know that for many issues, part of what it takes to be considered pathology is when it’s interfering with a person’s life. it becomes a problem when you consider it so, more or less.

    I’ve been hanging out with a girl with Mars and Venus in Cancer and notice that her ideas about sex are rather similar to my Moon, Mercury, Venus in Cancer and Mars in Cap ones. She thinks of it a lot as tender connection except she is a lot more interested in being completely in love and unwilling to go out and get the person she wants like I am, also she is unwilling to settle for someone that isn’t her “soulmate” like I am. Her idea of sex is also missing some kinkier elements, as far as I can tell. She does not have the kind of Cancer aspects that make you turned on by giving, but is more a reciprocity and the eye to eye connection of normal sex rather than oral sex type of person.

    I do have one, a healthy one (in my oppinion), but it’s true…..I have to feel it on a soul/intellectual level.
    I do notice the connection between the sex life with my husband and the way I feel connected to him. For instance…when it’s the time of the month and I have to go a few days without it…I feel like me and my hubby have been distant and that there is a void betwen us. I definetly need sex to feel the connection, and I need the connection to feel the sex.

    I didn’t vote because I don’t fit into none of the categories. Mars in Cancer. I’m very sensitive to my fiance’s moods, if we’re not connected emotionally, I’m not interested, at all. That’s a big problem for a man with Sun, Mars, Venus in Scorpio in the 1st. But, when it’s good, it’s fantastic.

    I voted average as well. I tend to be super interested when I’m feeling connected, their is intense chemistry and lots of trust and stability. Take that away, and I’m rather cold. I’ve got sun/mars/venus in aries opposed jupiter/saturn and trine uranus in scorpio, with pluto in the 5th. Not sure I fit my chart.

    I’ve got this problem with sex too. Control is always involved in some way, sometimes it’s a real turn on and sometimes it’s scary. It definitely complicates things and adds a whole different dimension. When I can’t deal with this stuff I just shut if off and ignore it. Or spend lots of time working, and exercising
