Ha, Ha, Ha! What you are describing is what is normal for me with Mars/Mercury conjunct in Scorpio on my ASC. Scorpio is controlling by nature and I am consciously filtering/editing my speech and writings all the time. And the only time I just let fly was when I had been drinking . . . which I have essentially quit doing entirely these past 10-15 yrs or so. ![]()
Elsa, you have a typo there on the title “too” instead of “to” - it’s your impulsive conjunction!
I have Mercury square Mars so a lot of bad words come out of my mouth that offend people even if I don’t intend to offend.
Fortunately it’s in Capricorn so it’s not such a *big* mouth.
Like I said before, I really admire you for showing your face like this. ![]()
I vote for more pottymouth, but that is probably very predictable of me. I would like to point out how big your grin is after you say “ass, ass, ass”! Swearing as spiritual tonic–I truly believe in this.
As far as I’m concerned a frankly expressed exuality or a healthy pottymouth is the utter opposite of a racist comment–let Saturn Virgo go after the racists of the world, but maybe the healthy happy pottymouths are here to keep Virgo on its toes, lighten Saturn up a little.
I find that my own elaborate pottymouth is always there for me when every single other thing has burnt to the ground, and it always does cheer me up. Sort of like: oh no, you can’t take that away from me. I have no clue but I think this might have something to do with my Pluto tightly squaring my Venus in Gemini.
I would LOVE to hear what you think of Dog’s natal chart–it looks like his Venus is at zero point Aries (perhaps that is not a surprise! but maybe we would think his Mars would be there?) and his Mars is in Pisces. I find this weird and fascinating and would love love love to hear your take.
Thanks for the divinely inspired cursing!–xo
That’s amusing elsa. I see how that would be an ordeal for you. For me, on the other hand, it’s my nature (and I suppose it would be with mercury and saturn on top of each other in virgo in the 3rd house). I cannot write without every comma being perfect, and it IS labour. But it gives satisfaction too: if you get it just right, the reading is smoooooooooth, and it feels so good.
Amber, I am a bit of a bitch, I think. What runs through my mind is this:
“Oh for Godsakes, can’t they figure it out!” Ha ha ha. Not too professional. I just have way too much rebel in me.
i don’t see anything wrong with “ass.” it doesn’t seem particularly derogatory or demeaning, which is where i draw the line, but that’s a subjective judgement.
my communication is not so much “impeded” (moreso than usual) but rather “more serious.” and my mind is clearer. even with the retrograde it was clearer (unusually so considering i’m mercury ruled.)
but i have saturn in aspect to mercury anyway. the virgo transit certainly doesn’t hit harder than the natal aspects do.
I knew something was up! Thanks for clarifying- I got into 5 verbal fights this week- a couple in person (hey, im a new yorker) & 2 over the internet- long stories- one was over a “blog post” I happened to stumble across your page doing a random astrology search.
Thanks for the video, it helped a lot Elsa.
Peace & love,
Crystal
xx
PS. My mercury is in aquarius in the 5th house (pisces sun, libra rising & gemini moon: 3.12.1981)
I’m suffering from this again tonight. So many things I want to say but trouble coming up with a way express effectively without being gross and graphic to an extent that repulses. Ha ha ha, I feel like Beast in Beauty and the Beast trying to be fit for dinner! ::smirks::
Mercury in virgo also opposes my sun, venus, & mars in pisces- ironically, all in the 6th house (of virgo)- what does this mean please?! With all these squares & oppositions it seems that no matter what I say or how I say it, it comes out wrong to others- I assumed it was the full moon or Halloween lol.
Thanks, I love your site! x

Who knows, maybe you had a past life as a very “refined puritan” writer just because that was the ONLY expression that was allowed in the circle you grew up, and you felt so limited by that, that this time round you need to have complete freedom….., donĀ“t judge it!
“The truth is, as every one knows, that the great artists of the world are never Puritans, and seldom even ordinarily respectable. No virtuous man — that is, virtuous in the Y.M.C.A. sense — has ever painted a picture worth looking at, or written a symphony worth hearing, or a book worth reading, and it is highly improbable that the thing has ever been done by a virtuous woman.” - H. L. Mencken
