Astrology As A Tool: Exploiting What Is Promised In The Natal Chart
Astrology in Real Life
Today I have to go to a major meeting at my daughter’s school. I will be meeting with eight authority figures, and I am going to have to just sit there regardless of what they say. In other words, I can exert no control over the meeting.
Because I felt I was too close to the situation to access it and because I felt confident they were the professionals I made a decision a couple months ago to put the course of her education in their hands and now I have to follow through. And they have been investigating since and will share their findings with me today in what appears to be a very formal meeting. No matter what they say, I know I will be deeply impacted, of course I have Pluto transiting my Moon so what do you expect?
But this is not about me, it is about my daughter. And one of the reasons I decided I could do this was because of her chart.
My daughter has a 9th house Moon (education) trine Jupiter in Sagittarius (major benefit, more education) and I feel very simply that her education is guaranteed. It is protected. And I admit this is a leap of faith. It is a gamble (Jupiter) but it’s calculated. And I call something like this in a chart, a “natal promise”… or “what you get for free.”
Everyone has something that comes easy to them. You can see it in their chart and you can see it in their life. It’s enormously helpful if you can identify these things because you case stop worrying about them! Use the energy for something worthwhile. So what about you?
What do you get for free?

I wish I did know what I get for free. I probably know it, but don’t realize it.
More than that… I would love to figure out that info for my kids.
BTW… Someone commented on my blog that a recent video I posted made them think of you. I don’t see it, but I consider that a tremendous compliment.

Before I even started trying to learn about astrology and my chart I have always felt blessed in my life. Any kind of situation I get myself into (which is rare anyways), I ALWAYS get by unscathed. I have always felt VERY lucky in general, with friends, with love, with family, etc. My Jupiter in Libra in the 11th house, which is a lucky combo from what I read. I thank my stars (literally), for being born at the time and place that I was.:)
Jupiter in the 3rd. I have an easy entertaining way of communicating, and can entertain myself with my thought processes when I’m otherwise being bored out of my skull.
I’ve noticed it crosses over to the 9th so 3rd house and 9th house can have an ‘ease’ about them. My 20 yr old + car has never broken down! Traveling short distance or long distance brings benefits. I’ve traveled in ways that don’t cost me - it costs about the same to stay as it does to go so may as well go.
On the other hand it can create disputes .. as it has transiting my 6th. It can create ‘freedom from’ or intransigent attitudes .. mine and others. ‘Freedom from’ can be found via your efforts, or it can be granted to you via others (going on sabbatical or being fired, same result no?).
Mine would be education too and being a fast learner. I think I have a pretty good head between my shoulders, not to boast (Jupiter).
For free I get Black and White - gray and other more pleasing shades I’ve got to work for.
What do I get for free?
Money. I guess that would be Mars in Leo in 2nd. I’m not rich, and I don’t spend extravagantly, but I’ve always had enough.
I’d say I get alot of movie like moments in my life, and brief romances..but they don’t last and disappear or I disappear, but that could be my venus-neptune conjunction in the 12th house working overtime thinking that. Sun in the first house 28′ degrees in Aquarius trine Jupiter 00′ in cancer the 5th house. I also think I’m lucky in my creative endeavors and I always have many opportunities to express myself.
I’m not sure. my jupiter is on the 6ht (health, jobs, pets) in leo.. trine uranus on the MC. i’ve had a couple of good things happening health wise. Job wise.. well, I have saturn in virgo and this is one of my main worries in life. I’ve only had a real job once.. and it was the very first place I asked for a job, I started 2 days after. I don’t think i’ve been extremely lucky there though.
I’ve always had loads of pets as i growing up, a real zoo. my last pet was a huge cat. I love big animals.
Jupiter and Uranus in 3… sometimes my ideas are pretty stupid but at least I never run out of new ones :p
Leo Jupiter in the 9th. Lots of academic success. Here’s hoping the same for your daughter.
I was given a good start in life, even though it was also tumultuous. Great siblings and early home life. Maybe that’s the Venus, Mars, and Uranus in 3rd house. My health has always been fine–Jupiter in 6th. I feel as if good health and good family are my free passes in life, so that I can concentrate on the other serious challenges of life.
It’s nice to have something you can pretty much count on or look back on with almost complete satisfaction.
I get a healthy sense of self-loathing. It’s been working out pretty well for me.
I’ve had some very serious periods of incapacitation from chronic illness, and each of the two worst times, my boyfriend at the time has fully supported me, let me move in, etc., even when it was clear our relationship wasn’t that close. I have Jupiter in Taurus in the 7th — saved by material support from partners. Not my ideal, but I would’ve been utterly screwed without it, so I’m very grateful.
Also, my intelligence and level of insight pretty much comes for free, though I’m not sure any one place I’d point to it in my chart.
I have Jupiter in the 12th, which I’ve found acts as a sort of deus ex machina in my life. At the very last moment, something usually comes along and saves me. My rock bottom is never actually that far down or that rocky.
I also have Jupiter trine Neptune in the 9th, which gives me a love of academia and great success in it. Jupiter sextiles my moon in the 2nd, which makes me buoyant and also brings resources into my life, and it trines my stellium of Venus, Mars, Mercury, and the Sun in the 5th. I tend to rarely be without relationships, have a strong sense of identity and lots of self-esteem, am extremely assertive and a good communicator. It also trines my Uranus in the 8th, which tends to mean that other people spontaneously pool their resources in to me.
My chart is extremely blessed, and I do my best to appreciate it and to use it to work hard and accomplish a lot.
11th/Cap/Jup conjunct 10th/Sag/Neptune trine 7th/Virgo Mercury and Sun.
The only trines in my chart. I write for free, and have always been surrounded by great people- family, friends, teachers, no one around me is harmful.
I also have opportunities and potential to develop, galore. but I have to do the work.
oh, but I never, ever, win lotto tickets or cake walks. ever.
i don’t know?
jupiter’s unaspected. in gemini. loosely conjunct the MC in the ninth, but otherwise…?
what i get for free is my own intellect. which is more of a leg up than i tend to recognize. (i hate feeling i’m being arrogant. that whole saturn leo thing
and maybe aquarius moon, too.) i don’t know what else.
i guess, well, i have had a good education. very good. (though not in highly lucrative fields. just stuff i love.) and now i’m very much in debt and wondering whether to get a PhD to put off the piper a little longer. and get more education ![]()

Good dreams?!
Jupiter in Scorpio in the 12th . . . it’s all about having faith.
There was an interesting point brought up about Jupiter rewarding positive attitude and leaps in faith over on my blog. It was pointed out that Jupiter is more inclined to bestow his blessings on someone who is actively participating by having a plan & direction as opposed to Venus who gives out kisses for just being here . . .
