The soldier and I on the phone. He’s a Pisces rising, Moon Neptune conjunct in Scorpio in the 8th house:

“Well, P, I have no control. I can’t control it all, believe me I’ve tried. People are always wanting me to try to see things for them because they know I can do this but it doesn’t work that way and it never has. I’ve been doing this since I was 7 years old you know.”

“I do know.”

“Yeah, so I know what I can and can’t do and I can’t do that. I can’t direct the thing at all. It’s more like holding an antenna up, that’s how I describe it. That thing works like an antenna and I can catch signals or something. But as to what comes in, I have nothing to say about it.”

“I understand.”

“Yeah so I can’t direct it but I see all kinds of things and I mean, ALL kinds of things. And I don’t necessarily know what it is I’m seeing. Sometimes I know exactly what I’m seeing. But sometimes I have no idea. Don’t know if what I’m seeing happened in the past… will happen in the future or is happening right then. And sometimes I really have no idea what I’m seeing, like I don’t recognize it.”

“What do you mean?”

“Well say I was some guy doing this in the 11th century and he sees a car. He’s not going to know that is. How is he going to know what that is? They don’t have cars so he’s not going to recognize it and know what it is. And I see things like that all the time which is why I have studied so much history and math and physics. It’s because I want to know what the things I see are. I want to understand what they are and how they fit in the puzzle. Because it’s hard to tell sometimes. Am I looking at some artifact from the past or is it something that has yet to be invented? I can’t always tell but I want to know. I want to try to figure out what I’m seeing and it’s because of this I have 12 years of college.”

I laughed.

“Yeah. Well that’s the reason. I go to school to try to figure this stuff out and I can’t help any of this. I have to do it… I have to get the information and I have to try to figure it out too.”

“Have much success?”

“Hell, yes I have success. I have figured out all kinds of stuff, I just have more to figure out.”

“I see.”

“Yeah, I’ll see all this stuff and I get it. You know. I understand what it is I am looking at or doing or feeling. But then I’ll come across something I don’t get and that’s when I know I’m going to be going back to school. I’ll take a class and see if I can get it. Take a class, except I have run out of math. There is no math in the world left for me to take, unfortunately.”
