Marrying Saturn’s Transit Through Virgo With Pluto’s Transit Through Capricorn

Astrology in Real Life

saturnI was thinking about the How To Prosper In 2008 where I tried to tie the Pluto and Saturn transits together. They go together in my mind because both planets are dropping into earth signs and also because in my personal chart, these planets are changing houses at roughly the same time as well. This makes it easy for me to link them and I thought if I could explain this it might give others a new angle.

Now in my case, Saturn just finished transiting my 7th house (relationships) and Pluto, my 11th (friends). Needless to say I hardly know anyone anymore. ::smiles:: People have been flushed, fired, they’ve quit, and they’ve gone missing. I have been betrayed, rejected, forced to let go of people or seen them forced to let go of me.

Consequently I have just a few contacts now but I can’t say that I mind. For all the trauma the people who are still on deck are real and they committed (Saturn). They are loyal (Pluto), empowered people who share energy (Pluto) but you get the idea.

save plutoThere has been a total routing out. It has been merciless really, the process that led to this consolidation, nothing less. But it’s been necessary. Because if you ask me if I would like to put it back the way it was, I would not. I will take my new deal, so here’s my point:

These two planets are shifting now and they are going to establish themselves somewhere in your chart. Where? Where can you expect the leveling and the boiling down to occur and more importantly, is it welcome?

Huh. Saturn is nearing the end of my 7th house, and Pluto isn’t that far from the end of my 11th, but I have not noticed the effect you describe of contacts dropping away. Though I still have about a year to go before those planets are clear of those houses, so I guess there’s still time.

Becca for the record, I did not lose friends with Pluto in the 11th until the last year and then BAM. Wipe out. I also had powerful friends and in some cases met the shadow side of that… Gah.

I was nearly date-raped by a “friend”… I could go on and on.

Bottom line when it came time for the curtain call most had left the building. I definitely feel my decks have been completely cleared.

Oh, swell. That kind of thing will not be welcome…I don’t have that many friends to lose!

Saturn is approaching my MC though it won’t hit for about a year, and Pluto is well into my 2nd House for an extended stay. I am finally pursuing professional goals that I avoided for many years . . . and in the throes of revamping what’s really important to me and what I value.

saturn’s two thirds of the way through my twelfth. can feel him inching towards the ascendant (he’ll get there next august) and i’ve been having some mindboggling dreams (of things that happen the next day or two, or things that are going on i wouldn’t otherwise know about or….) but otherwise it’s difficult for me to grasp, really.

pluto’s two thirds of the way through my fourth.
becoming a mom and totally restructuring my relationship with my mother(s.) lots of moving around. trying to figure out what kind of home environment i need (via lots of unpleasantness.)
i’m kinda’ actually looking forward to him hitting the fifth. i think? but that’s not going to happen for five years yet…

Pluto’s currently at my Ascendant (26 degrees Sag) and so I am feeling a lot of internalized pressure with Pluto moving into Cap. Lots and lots of periods as though feeling like I could die from grief, and the next day I see a cute dog and I’m so happy…no cares in the world. Sounds like manic depression, but really it’s fucking Pluto I KNOW it is. Just trying to accept these bouts pass and life is essentially good, because it is…I’m apprehensive about Pluto being in my 1st House as my Moon is in Capricorn (9 degrees).
I keep wondering who’ll die next as the entire time it was in my 12th House people in my life kept dying at a pretty steady clip, 1-2 a year at least, grandparent, aunt and uncle, best friend, old roommates, co-workers, other people’s grandparents…other people’s spouses. Not morbid to me–hopefully not to people here!–but I realized when Pluto moved to conjoin my Ascendant
THAT was when I started thinking ‘Jeez maybe I’ll be next.’ It was very weird to all of a sudden be afraid of death. I think I was still posting here things like ‘I don’t care about that sort of thing.’
I must be out of my mind, or I was, or it’s just Pluto, man!

As for Saturn, ha ha ha! I spent my whole SR worried about it moving into my 8th House. Turned out it was there all along (at least according to the Koch system) so now it’s in my 9th. Um, square Pluto?

I hope with Pluto in Capricorn I’ll finally be able to feel like I am not powerless emotionally. And Saturn in Virgo–I’m planning on it motivating me. Hopefully soon!
Sorry about the uber long post, I hope anyone else out there losing their marbles can relate.

saturn’s eventually going to enter my 12th house. in equal house astrology it already has… it’s going to square my mercury, and since saturn’s in virgo, my mercury’s in gemini, and i have a natal mercury-saturn trine… i think i’ll be fine. it’s just time to do some brain organization. thought i might go to school finally.

pluto’s still in my 3rd for a while… am very much dreading it hitting my IC when it does. yuck. saturn, uranus, and neptune crossing that point when i was a kid was hard enough.

I’ve had Saturn in my 12th and Pluto in my 4th. Pluto entered my 4th in 1998. Between 2000 and 2005, I moved seven times and since my rent has been unbearably expensive. I’m only half way through. I feel like I enjoyed having Pluto in my 3rd, Scorpio, from 1985 to 1998. Is that possible? I mean those were the best years of my life. Can Pluto make for a GREAT time?

  9. Kundrie says on 10/10/07 at 2:54 am:

Elsa - nearly date-raped by a “friend”? Whoa. That makes me furious just reading it. Hope that a***ole got punished!

As for the question: Pluto has been transiting my first house since 1996 and will be for a little longer, 2nd house cusp being on 8 degrees Capricorn. In Sag Pluto triggered highest hopes and aspirations plus beautiful visions and metaphysical insights. like fireworks - great to watch and feel elated, and bag the earthy remains afterwards. Or like a joyride that no matter how far out the ride felt, finally you get out right where you started. I just don´t like amusement parks… So, if Pluto in Capricorn deals with substance and matter instead of firecracker miracles, it´s fine with me.

Saturn will be in Virgo only twoandahalf years, so that´s barely enough to assist Pluto´s changing of signs. When Saturn goes Libra, they will square each other…which will be a whole different story. But it´s a neat picture right now: Saturn wearing a maid´s dress, cleaning the first degrees of his home ground Capricorn before Pluto steps in… Soothing, somehow.

Kundrie–Saturn in a maid’s dress? LOL! Thanks for making my morning

Pluto through the MC and Saturn in the 6th - it is time for my professional life to get sorted. Is it welcome? I don’t know but it sure makes sense because this is the time to do it…

doesnt my ‘tag’ say it all? elsa i can completely relate to your post - we must have the same rising signs or close to it as pluto and saturn are coming to the close of transiting the same houses as yours(the 7th and 10/11th respectively) and WOW did grow through a whole heap of a turnover in friendships and career orientations as well..when it started didnt see the writing the wall but about halfway through i started reading up on pluto transits and boy was it ever an apt description..and like you i feel that a lot of the lost was needed and i am the better for the trials…think i am finally headed in a more authentic path for myself and really it was there all along i just needed a pluto/saturn transit like this last one to cut down some of the trees that were standing too obscuring my way through the forest…almost made it thru and the way ahead now looks good and clear!:-)

Pluto’s dancing round my mc at the mo and saturn’s in 6th so i guess work issues will arise. Having avoided or been avoided by career stuff (merc in 2nd opp nep) i’m expecting a shift here. Kashmiri, i can relate to those feelings and have told myself the same thing at those hideous moments of despair ‘its just pluto, it’s just pluto’. Hang in there cos it is.
