I don’t fret too much about Mercury retrograde. I avoid signing things and avoid purchases for non-essentials, especially clothing for myself or my children because I have learned it always has to go back, each and every stitch. But this time, it’s a freak out.

Most of you know my bank (Netbank) died last week. The bank that took them over (ING) is big, likely pretty safe but just doesn’t offer what Netbank did when it comes to services so I have been in a mad scramble to first make a decision about staying with them (made) and then scramble to switch this stuff over before Mercury goes retch.

I realize I have no real complaint. The money is safe, it’s just created a lot of tasks when I am already drowning in them and it’s occurring to me that while Saturn is in Virgo, Mercury’s retrograde periods may be bring extra tedium. It is sure seems this way to me. I am sick of insurance companies, I’ll tell you that! And phone companies, doctor appointments, dead phone batteries and waiting, waiting, waiting on hold.

Today, I was in a mad dash to get things done I have not been able to do for 3 weeks because of various reasons when the school called. Yep! Next thing I know I’m making a u-turn to go pick up my daughter (ill) and very unexpectedly too. Mercury rules my 5th (children). ::sigh::

I am also having trouble with all my ideas. I have about 40 ideas… things I intend to write or talk about and you guessed it. No time! Organize damn it, but how!

The soldier and I also crossed wires this weekend. We learned this morning we will not see each other this weekend, he called 20 minutes later:

“I just drove by a huge sign that said, Elsa. Is there a town in Texas called, Elsa?”

Quick google. “Yeah.”

“Damn. I want to turn off and go see Elsa…”

::sigh:: He’s going to New Jersey instead.

And yesterday, he had the guy driving alongside him, hitting on him (Mercury in Scorpio) and today it was my turn. My son’s bus is a block away. I met him there, and on the way home some guy asked me if I had a tree he could remove. ::smiles:: (Mercury=Neighbors)

“No, but thanks for asking,” I said before I averted my eyes, faking Libra.

Meanwhile Pluto is nearing exact aspect with my Moon which could not possibly be energy more incongruent so on that front at least, I am amused.

So is it me? Or does the upcoming Mercury retrograde period seem enhanced to you too? Because that sucker is beautifully aspected and it doesn’t seem it should be this ridiculous.
