Hey Elsa,
Your son is lucky to have a savvy and empathetic astrologer for a mom! Parenting is such a trip. Damian will be 8 on October 13, and his Saturn is also in Taurus (in the 12th house conjunct the Asc) and the focal point of a yod inconjunct the Sun in Libra and the Moon in Sag. He also has mercury in Scorpio in the 6th. He is all too aware on a conscious level of his limitations and difference - understands the fragility and nebulousness of his physical existence - and like your son - wants to take care of himself. He holds back the emotions and tears when hurt and really sucks it up when he feels isolated and insecure. My heart breaks sometimes…..
Wow, thank you for sharing. I so enjoy your blog. How I would have loved to have had at least one parent who was astrological insights. Tough stuff Saturn/Sun. He sounds like a neat soul…so aware for his age.
Blessings,
Pepper
Oh, little chap! Your family is a beautiful creation, Elsa. Out of curiosity, which house is his Sun in?
kashmiri - 8th, where else? He’s dealing with life/death.
not me, but a close friend. she has a sun/saturn trine. the sense of parental betrayal (without actual betrayal) as well as the growing up fast and needing to “be the adult” wherever she was is a prominent theme in her life. and it can be such a trial to get her to ask for help when she needs it.
This was a brilliant story Elsa and thankyou for sharing it. I really feel for the little chap and can affliate. I had a little giggle too because I myself have a sun saturn pluto conjunction in the 8th house and have had very similar experinces. And I love how that Scorpio mars kicked in all supscious and very wary. He sounds like a sweetie, tough but sweet.
You’re doing a wonderful job too just being there and being able to understand him.
interesting with a sun opp saturn aspect, i was constantly being told by parents and relatives that i was “growing up too fast”. if only they knew the pressure i was under to do so. i guess my folks wanted their children to be both very independent and beholden to them at the same time. a very difficult act to pull off. one of the reasons for my emotional immaturity, i suppose
i’ve said it before and i don’t mind saying again, Elsa your son is going to do fine. i mean the fact that you even take into account his life history and where it has lead him to be who he is at present is for me a-maz-ing!
thanks for sharing this story
Oh, man. . . I’m feeling you both! I’ve got sun/Saturn conjunct (out of sign), and I can remember being like Vidroid - just leave me alone and let me figure this all out! But I can imagine it’s got to be rough as a parent looking at it from the outside. Yikes!
I honestly feel like I raised myself, with very little input by my parents until I was in my late teens.
