Grand Trine In Earth… How It Plays In Reality
Astrology in Real Life
The soldier and I discussing his getting called to the principals office today:
“No, it’s going to be okay. Look, this guy thinks you’re up to something and you’re up to nothing. He’s got this negative projection on you and it’s high time you showed up and took it off. This is from astrology, okay? Your physical presence calms people down. They calm down when you’re around,’ I said. “They can’t help it.”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah, so this guy needs that. He has got to calm down because as it is he’s all freaked. He is making no sense with his thought process but when you go in there your calm physical presence and your logic, which is unimpeachable is going to prevail and he is going to be completely relieved.”
“I hope you’re right, P.”
“I am right. There is not a question here. You’ve done nothing wrong and this guy is going to be completely relieved when he meets you and finds this out. He is going to calm right down and it’ll be a favor for both of you. From now on you’ll be humanized. Having met you in person he is going to know who you are instead of whatever weirdness he is thinking at the moment. He’s going to meet someone who is calm, logical, polite, diligent and hard-working because that is what you are but for some reason he just can’t see this so you are going to have to go in there and show him. Just standing there in the room will do it. Your presence reassures people is what I am saying. They think all kinds of things about you until this happens too… I have done it myself.”
“Yeah.”
“Yeah, so when you leave you’re going to be recognized as credible instead of suspect and that can only improve things for everyone. And from now on when he talks to you… well he’s going to want to talk to you because when he does he will be calmed down. And no more of his current antics for Godsakes. Why ask a person a question 4 times in 4 hours just to hear them answer it in the same way? Obviously this guy is wigged and he has simply got to calm down about you so just go in there and be in the room with him so he can do it. And pay attention so you can witnesses the phenomenon. You’ll see him calm down and it’d be good if you were more aware of this affect you have. People stabilize around you and that is all there is to it.”
Do people calm around you, or otherwise? Got earth in your chart? How about Taurus?

Saturn in Taurus, Pluto in Virgo, Mars and Ascendant in Capricorn, though the degrees aren’t close enough for an actual grand trine. I used to think I was pretty good as a calming influence around agitated bookstore customers or library patrons, but I’ve lately realized I have no effect on some demographic sets (notably teenagers).
So sometimes yes, sometimes no.
I’ve got a Grand Trine in Earth. One of the points of it is Venus in Taurus. Yeah, I hadn’t thought of it before but I do tend to calm people down. I can’t stand people freaking out. When I worked at a call center I learned a soothing voice that I would use on the angry people to get them back to reason.
Definitely. Even though the only earth in my chart is a Virgo Midheaven and both the 6th & 7th House cusps in Taurus. Could it be having a Fixed Sign emphasis in my chart? Also have a strong Saturn influence (Sun Sq Saturn, Venus trine Saturn) . . . whatever it is, I do have a calming effect on others.
how could you tell? people are the way they are around you… it’s difficult to get perspective on it.
but i’ve always had a knack for getting cats (even mostly stray cats) to like me. not sure how that comes through.
my earth is just a virgo ascendant and a taurus mercury.
and my students almost always love me. more than i expect- it always baffles me
but that taurus mercury’s in the ninth.
……and i tend to go look for taurus to settle my high wire mental agitation (that mercury t square in fixed with uranus playing in gets me spinning around in my head sometimes.)
not so much capricorn (it tends to square my aries, which is educational at times, but not calming) or virgo (more a sense of commonality, but doesn’t help with virgo nerves
)
wyrdling - That’s why we have astrology. So you can see your own ass, LOL.
yeah, people do calm around me…hadn’t really thought that much about it before, but they do. i’ve done some paraprofessional counseling stuff in the past, and i was good at it…no taurus but a lot of virgo with a major emphasis on mutable signs. i can “feel into” the situation and sense what people are looking for or need sometimes.
I’ve an Earth Grand Trine (Uranus/Mercury/Neptune-Taurus, Capricorn Virgo in that order).
I’m not sure about having a calming effect on others. If I get into an argument about politics I’m anything but calming!
When I was working I’d occasionally have to sort out conflicts between two of my section members. Come to think of it, they did usually calm down when I got them together in a quiet room away from the office. I’d never really thought about it that way before though.
Earth Grand Trine of Capricorn Moon 2nd, Taurus Mars 6th, Pluto-Uranus Virgo 10th. I have a calming effect on others sometimes, but grounding always. Many of my friends have told me they value my honesty more than anything else about me.
lol
yeah, no kidding. funny how often i don’t notice what people are looking at!
Have sun, moon and venus in earth, and people fall asleep on me. I’m that much of a relaxing environment. Still trying to take that as a compliment somehow…
Sun/Venus/Chiron in Taurus 7th- I calm everyone down as long as I am not upset myself. If I am, then nevre mind!
now that i think about it, some of the preschoolers i work with are like stray cats, too. a little real attention and they’re just sweet. even/especially the ones who act out a lot. ‘course it helps that the work i do with them i only have to focus on one at a time. (assessing their literacy readiness for a curriculum research study.)
I have nothing in taurus but chiron. Taurus people stabilize me alot. some non typical virgos too.
People usually comment how sweet and quiet I am to be around, some have mentioned it is calming, but others get nervous about it. I think I have the neptunian transcendence and aquarian vibe, but I think taurus is more real and truly stabilizing. They actually live through stuff and are calm. It’s easy to be calm when you transcend and don’t actually feel things intensely.
