I have to say that while it would be great if the fashion industry took an interest in their models being healthy and not treating them like walking meat, arbitrary rules about body fat don’t seem very constructive to me. If the fashion industry is going to start controlong how skinny a model can be then it needs to adopt new attitudes about the models in general. Right now girls are told things like they need to have more narrow hips or need more space between their thighs when doing so would require bone to be altered. To me, just adding more restrictions on top of that, although it may be well intended, is just going to make things worse.
