Ooh, good points…
Guaranteed if I got one of these ‘remote control’ tickets I’d be in the courthouse arguiing over it - I bet they’ll just make that process (appealing it) so difficult no one will bother and will just pay.
I saw a cop on a bridge overlooking the highway the other week - I’ve wondered when I saw them with their radar guns pointed downward if they’re able to track the license plates yet and send tickets to your home.
I’m hoping lawyers aren’t Saturn-ruled .. for my own peace of mind right now. I know they’re traditionally considered Jup-ruled but the ones I’m having contact with are so fearful.
When I lived on the east coast seven years ago there were some towns that already had those cameras. There was a story going around at the time about a man who got a $50 ticket in the mail with a photograph of his car running a red light. He sent the police a photograph of a fifty dollar bill. The police sent him a photograph of handcuffs. He paid the ticket.
Probably apocryphal, but it makes a great story.
What a great story, Elsa!
Living in corporate land myself (for the day job) I certainly can relate!
