We May Be Fierce And Adventurous But We Both Have Grand Trines in Earth

Astrology in Real Life…

60 minutesThe soldier and I awhile back:

“P, do you remember when we used to go to the hot tubs? Remember we used to rent those hot tubs by the hour?”

“Of course I remember that. Fun.”

“Yeah, we had a blast. But I was thinking how we always did things by the hour.”

“Yeah?”

“Yeah. Go the No*Tel Motel, get a room by the hour. We used to rent those hot tubs all the time, but only for an hour. And we got those broken horses that time, also by the hour. And I was thinking about this and asking myself, why by the hour? Why did P and I always go do things for an hour?”

“What did you come up with?”

“Well I think it was because that was as long as we could stand being out of bed.”

I snorted.

“Yeah, we’d lie in bed all day you know. All day, all night, all the next day and then finally we’d want to get up and do something, but only for an hour or so. We’d get up and go to the grocery store or go have dinner for an hour and that was it. One hour to do stuff, then back to bed.”

“Oh my God, you’re right.”

“And we used to complain, too. Every time we had to get out of bed, we’d complain bitterly. You know, we’d be lying there for two days and one of us would have go to work and you’d think the sky was falling or something. We have to get up already? We sure hated to get out of bed so I think this is why we did all our leisure activities for an hour at a time. Out of bed any longer than that and we’d start getting nervous. Oh my God, we’re out of bed. Let’s go back. Let’s not talk. Let’s lie down and talk. And let’s not eat in this restaurant or in the kitchen, let’s take this food to the bed and eat it there.”

“Yeah, well you’re right.”

“I know. So no wonder we were always by ourselves. That’s what happens if you’re only willing to leave bed for an hour at a time. It makes it very hard to meet people and get to know them when the clock is ticking and all. Whoops! Love to stay and chat but we gotta get back to bed!”

Do you like to lie around? What is the Earth situation in your chart. How about Water?

I LOVE to lie around all weekend with my SO. Not a bit of earth or water. He is though…and he is the one to get us up about for food and such. :)

absolutely no Water and barely anything in Earth (Venus in Taurus & my poor Jupiter in Capricorn)…the only time I lie around in bed is if I’m horribly depressed…it actually *hurts* to be in bed for a long time…I have been known to sit still for hours though, but only if I’m learning something on TV or reading a book :)

Ah ha! So, I can blame my grand earth trine for being a homebody? My husband and I like to sit in front of our computers and do whatever. Sometimes we watch tv, sometimes we read, but we don’t like to go out much. In fact we feel tired and bored when we go out too much. I’ve got sun, mercury and uranus in water, two in fire and one air.

I LOVE it. Unless I have the chance to drive. Cap Moon, Cancer Mars, but Aries Merc. If I’m not driving, let me lounge!

  5. Kundrie says on 8/17/07 at 12:50 pm:

Pisces moon (+Saturn), cancer venus, mars, mercury and jupiter in taurus. What you canĀ“t do in bed is not worth doing anyway ;-). Noo, just kidding. I love staying in bed, daydreaming, snoozing, reading, eating…especially with a person I love and can be really and soulfully intimate with, but I like to be outside meeting the world as well (gemini sun, sagittarius rising, moon opposing uranus). A nice switch between both worlds is what I like best, with lots of time for each and no rush.

I love just lying around all day. I can take a nap at any time. Saturn, Pluto, Mars and Ascendant in Earth signs, Neptune and Midheaven in Water.

  7. Gem says on 8/17/07 at 1:25 pm:

I’m with you Kundrie….though I’m leo and gem mostly…but when I feel dreamy over anyone/thing, it’s just time to absorb and soak them in… :)

  8. Lupa says on 8/17/07 at 1:46 pm:

I can only sit still if there’s a keyboard attached to my fingers or a phone in my hand. My guy is about the same. He’s Aquarius sun, Aries moon. I’m Gemini sun, Scorpio moon. We sometimes instant message each other from opposite ends of the couch - usually because we don’t want the kids to over hear us.

  9. October27 says on 8/17/07 at 2:29 pm:

Sat, and Uran. in Taurus, Nep. and N. Node in Virgo. I used to love to loll in bed and daydream. I have always been able to grab a nap anywhere.

  10. Ana says on 8/17/07 at 3:19 pm:

nope, i can’t sit still, have to be on the move :) the only time i’m in bed is to sleep…and i sleep like a log, but come morning i’m itching to get out. Lupa, i do the same thing - gotta keep hands busy! and IMing/calling from the same room/house is actually kind of fun. only have 1 earth (cappy moon) and 2 water (mercury in pisces, uranus in scorpio).

  11. Stephanie says on 8/17/07 at 5:25 pm:

Grand Earth trine moon/mars/pluto and Scorpio ASC conjunct Neptune. I am one lazyass.

  12. c. says on 8/17/07 at 8:15 pm:

I have a pile of earth but he doesn’t have much earth at all. I’m thinking our composite chart has to have something earth because our relationship literally takes place in bed. We need to talk - we go to bed and curl up together… doesn’t matter the time of day or night. That’s where we’re safe together and all the deep stuff comes out. We love to cuddle but he bounces out of bed much faster than I. He’s mostly air and fire. LOL

  13. saggal says on 8/17/07 at 10:35 pm:

I’m mostly fire and water. sun, moon, neptune, mars, mercury in sag, ascendant, venus, uranus in water. Saturn and nn in Virgo. One air planet. I’m grounded by work (Saturn in the 6th). I was told by an astrologer that my saturn pretty much is the only thing keeping me anywhere solid at all. When I’m in bed too long, even if I want to sleep, I get soreeeeee, even as a kid, my hips hurt and I just need to get up eventually.

  14. joana says on 8/18/07 at 2:10 pm:

Oh yeah…lie, lie, lie around :)
I have little earth, some water, no grand trines :( I’ve heard people saying Sags are lazy; I don’t know if that’s true but I certainly am.

  15. wyrdling says on 8/21/07 at 11:34 pm:

i stay in bed much much much too long.
moreso if i have good company.
my only water is my mars (pisces.) well, and uranus.

  16. wyrdling says on 8/21/07 at 11:43 pm:

earth? virgo ascendant. taurus mercury. but i always thought the stuck in dreamland was all pisces.

  17. Foxxy says on 8/23/07 at 10:11 am:

Muwhahahahahahahhahaaaa!!!! The one compliment I have always gotten, Always, Everytime I’ve had a man sleep over is that I am amazingly good to sleep with. I can’t remember a guy who hasn’t tell me that they’d had an amazing nights sleep in my bed and this is even when I was sleeping on an air mattress on my hardwood floor. “I don’t know why, but that was a good night’s sleep. Your bed is for shit, but wow”.

I have my sun mercury and mars in capricorn, moon in virgo. As for Water I have uranus in scorpio. However my 12th house has Venus and Neptune, and you’ve speculated on my sun being in there as well.

  18. Cathrynn says on 4/28/08 at 8:23 pm:

oh my……..have Grand Trine in Earth - Uranus in Taurus, Venus in Capricorn, Neptune in Virgo….LOVE my bed - the only place I feel safe. I hide in it…(Neptune in 12th in Virgo as well)………and I can laze around on the puter as now - because I cant sleep and be in bed, so I am on the puter…lol……can be supremely lazy - *sigh*………………
