Astrology Today - I Can’t Get No Satisfaction: Venus Square Mars

My eye on the sky…

“I can’t get no satisfaction,
I can’t get no satisfaction.
‘Cause I try and I try and I try and I try.
I can’t get no, I can’t get no.”

(m. jagger/k. richards)

Venus is square Mars today. Many years ago I attended a workshop by astrologer, David Pond. He explained that when Mars was square Venus a person would go out and hunt something (Mars) and then get it home and think “Ugh”. Ha ha ha. What a puzzle.

With this aspect exact in the sky today and with Venus retrograde and both Venus and Mars in signs they hate I would not be expecting people to be particularly satisfied and I have an example.

I’m very glad I have no consultations scheduled today. Because no doubt the person would be unhappy with the goods. And sure enough I had a gal cancel. She hunted me, encountered me briefly and went, “ick”. And you know what?

I don’t blame her and I don’t blame me. I blame Venus square Mars in the signs of their detriment and I don’t worry about it. People will be satisfied again, just not today. blush

I know David Pond from when he lived in my town in Central Washington and learned to calculate charts from him. Great astrologer! He’s a Sagittarius w/Capricorn ASC . . . :-)

oops… I went to get my hair cut today. All went well, I looked fine afterwards, had a nice chat with the hairdresser, so actually I´m very satisfied - plus pretty glad I didn´t read about Venus squaring Mars before that, because then I wouldn´t have gone there in the first place. But maybe that transit can also just mean “getting prettier (Venus) by getting cut (Mars)”?
