I am glad the tide shifted on the Mercury poll. Early returns had 69% of people voting me “freak” which makes a gal sit back and contemplate, I’ll tell you. But anyway, the comments on that blog are grand and I think this is a very important topic.
I’ve mentioned it before, but Lois Rodden wrote a book, "The Mercury Method Of Chart Comparison"
Learning about communication is going to be big with Saturn in Virgo. Taking responsibility for how you communicate, and what you communicate is going be a big deal and I am already experiencing this myself. In fact I am already getting slammed which seems so unfair since I just endured Saturn transit through the 6th house (Virgo’s house) which is an equivalent challenge, but you know. Bit that’s a whine.
Point is this is going to a major topic on this blog for the next two and half years. Because like the Saturn Neptune blogs, I already have about 500 angles on it in my head. ::sighs:: My poor head!
So anyway, think about it (commands Saturn 
). Are you satisfied with your communication skills (Virgo) or could they use some work (Saturn)?

Saturn in Virgo will be transiting over my MC & 10th house so I get the feeling that communicating in a clear, precise way will be a very important aspect of my professional life.
Could definatly use some work..
I thought I had this communicado thing down pat…but of late…nope. TOTALLY wrong. More work….it’s either that I’m not conveying myself clearly or the receptor is out of whack with my garble.
Saturn also recently moved out of my 6th house and once thing I learned is that I need to be much more detailed in my communication if people are going to understand accurately where I’m coming from. My Mercury in Gemini conjunct the South Node and Mars is certainly very quick, and I don’t miss a thing. BUT I also have all that trine Neptune, and communicating wears me out. I would rather we all operate on telepathy. And so I speak minimally by nature, only to find out that others (particularly during the last 2.5 years) have assumed I was coming from a very different place than I was…or just didn’t understand me. It was brought to my attention that I speak in subtle ways that escape more direct thinkers. So, I have learned in certain situations to be much more detailed than I would care to.
Now, my poor Pluto is also in opposition to transiting Pluto. Obviously that has a high side.
The intensities are to many (for my Merc/Neptune fuzz) to go into right now.
I appreciate the reminder to stay alert in these matters as Saturn travels through my 7th, soon to conjunct my 2 degree Virgo Moon.
Communication skills always need work. Mine started young when I was 8 or 9 and I said something to a friend that hurt her feelings - I can’t remember what - I do remember that I didn’t mean to hurt her feelings and was totally confused by the half hour lecture from my father on the evils of the tongue and all the Bible scripture that went with it. That certainly put the fear of god in me and I have been hyper vigilant as to the effects of my words since….
Oops - I meant my poor Mercury is in opposition to Pluto…
Mine could use some work, especially in terms of spoken communication. I’m usually able to be pretty clear in writing.
My Mercury’s in Virgo. I’m pretty perceptive as far as other people go, but communicating how I feel about things … well, sometimes people have no idea how I feel about them — I rarely use the words “I like” about something when in reference to someone and nearly never when I am dating them unless I’m sure of a positive response! People who can’t accept compliments freak me out.
So I guess I should work on that. It might be very clear in my head how I feel about someone, but communicating that is difficult for me. Is that a Pisces thing? (Pisces Moon)
LOL, I didn’t understand that question but I also don’t think you’re a freak. Next time maybe you shouldn’t insult yourself in the poll. It was a trick question. Like that time I took a personality test and it asked if I was “sensitive.” If we really wanted to insult you, I’m sure we could do it in the comments
I know my communication needs work — the stronger I feel about something or someone, the more difficult it is for me to verbalize that. Slowly but surely I’m learning to make my way out of my shell.

i hav mercury in cancer…….n its a pain in the ass. i mean i can remember how a guy snapped at me 11 yrs ago, wt full details!! n recently i told him n he apologised to me. i didnt feel bad abt it,i just had to let it out of my system.
i can be really blunt at times….mercury oppn mars.
i hate small talk…i really hate it!!id rather die than small talk someone.
i hav no air planets in my chart….so my comm. skills r pretty lousy but mercury trine pluto/ jupiter make up for it.
I’m a terrible communicator..mercury in taurus opp neptune exact. The number of times i write and then dont send as it comes out meaningless and/or confused. People often take what i say the wrong way and even i seem to be in two minds about stuff at times. A terrible memory too and a crap story teller (not a liar though which some associate with this aspect - i hate lies). Whay annoys me is when i have a great thought but it’s gone before i can write it down. I have good imagination & intuition tho and seem to be able to talk to other merc/neps, almost like we can understand what the other is trying to say even if neither is saying it very clearly.
i know wat ur sayin…cuz i hav mercury oppn neptune too.
