I was on the phone with the soldier. He has Jupiter in Sagittarius… so does my daughter.

“I’ve told a couple people this now and I thought I’d tell you now that we have a little time. Time which we never have so I can’t always tell you what all is going on. But the other weekend I had some kind of realization and I have been focused on it ever since so I thought I’d tell you about it.”

“Okay, shoot.”

“Well we walked to that little store next to the hotel. Remember? We went there twice. Once with Mosta (my daughter’s screen name) but I’m talking about when we went by ourselves and you got some stuff. You go this and that, I don’t remember what and you got yourself some life savers. Remember?”

“Wintergreen.”

“Yeah. So we were walking back, just through the parking lot there, so it was all asphalt. We were surrounded by asphalt and a freeway behind us. Cars parked here and there and we’re just walking and the weather was good. The weather was perfect actually. It was nice. It was hot the way we like it.”

“Uh huh.”

“Well then you did something and it struck me. You opened those Lifesavers and you gave me one and then you ate one yourself as we were leaving the store.”

“Uh huh?”

“But then you gave me another. Do you see what I mean? And then another after that. You kept giving me these Lifesavers one after another in between eating them yourself too. Do you see what I mean? We’re walking and we’re talking and you’re handing me these Lifesavers… one at a time and we’re just eating them and walking and talking and you’re handing them to me. And I am sure you don’t realize this but no one does that.”

“They don’t?”

“No. Hell no. People open Lifesavers, offer you one, have one themselves and then they put them away. They put them right in their pocket. But instead of that, you gave me one then you one then me one… we ate most of them didn’t we?”

“Well, yeah. We like Lifesavers, P.”

I laughed. “Yeah, I guess we do. But anyway, I was struck by this. Man this guy has a lot of Lifesavers. He’s got a whole stream of them. He’s got a supply. It was generous, see. It was generous and it was abnormal. And you didn’t offer either. You didn’t say, want one so that I could refuse. You took them from the pack and handed them to me. You know. We were going to eat this pack of Lifesavers and walk and talk and la la la, that’s what we’re doing right now. And we were completely looped in because of it. You know. It was circular and you did it. I noticed so I guess that’s something but it was you who did it.”

“Uh huh?”

“So here we are walking and talking. And we have like three minutes to spend, just you and I. We had to get back and on the way we were eating this candy and I asked you what you thought about all this. You and I and 30 years and all, and here you come up with this answer, you tell me quite plainly that you feel we’ll be together for a billion years.” (The Pisces Perspective)

“Yeah, well I believe that,” he said. “I think that’s right. I think we will.”

“I know you do but it’s not what I’m telling you. I’m telling you I’ve never had a thought like that in my life. And I can’t imagine I ever would have a thought like that. Those are big thoughts you have,” I said. “My daughter said that when she was four. Think big thoughts, she said. That was her mantra back then and this is what you do. You think big thoughts and further, you share them. You put them right out there and since I am with you, I get to be exposed to them. And I like it! I love it actually so I just wanted to tell you how I experienced this walk across the asphalt. It was expansive. Being with you is a very expansive experience. It’s inspiring to me. It’s enormously enjoyable and further I could not have had this feeling or this experience with anyone else,” I said.

“No?”

“No. Because they would have gave me one lifesaver and put the rest in their pocket, for one thing.”

“Oh, P.”

“Oh whatever. I don’t know if you understand my story or not. But I am tremendously grateful and appreciative for that day and for that experience. I am grateful for how you answered that question and for you the fact you kept handing me those Lifesavers because it was something else. I was something I will always remember… it’s the kind of thing I like the best and now you’ve been told.”
