   this has been one of the worst Mercury Rx for me in awhile. It’s waltzing back & forth through my 8th House, squaring my Libra. a lot more weird tech problems than usual plus the mind has been functioning at less than it’s usual clarity. grrrrrr . . .

   On the plus side, i did find two great books on Pluto in charts (Mercury/8th house stuff)!! so there are some benefits.

   Well, Mercury is slowing down to go Stationary Direct here on the 9th, so hopefully we’ll be seeing some relief in about a week . . . .

   Ugh, it’s been awful. All sorts of miscommunications with my man, car problems, my kid’s dad had a huge, scary car accident (mercifully w/out our son in the car), voice mail problems, cell phone problems, and so on and so forth. It’s been sucktacular and I’m ready for it to be over with already.

   maybe because merc is retro in this year’s solar return chart, but this period has been more or less a piece of cake. ordinarily i would be a miscommunications magnet. it’s going to be an interesting year.

   What a Mercury retrograde Elsa! I usually don’t notice these cycles and I think it’s because my progressed Mercury went retrograde shortly after I was born and stayed that way for 30 years…so it almost feels like I am naturally more retrograde than not.

   i’ve learned a veritable ton about myself. i’m focused on learning about my conditioning, in a phase of welcoming info on me that challenges me (one entirely & deliberate proactive response to pluto in sag/3rd squaring natal pluto in libra/12th), and so if i weren’t open to changing i’d say it sucked. but the way i try to control things and expect things to be on my terms (and fume when they don’t) doesn’t work any longer, so i’m open. i’m looking at everything that doesn’t go my way as an opportunity…did i mention that jupiter’s transiting my sag moon-mercury?

   i sold my car today, and am excitedly shopping for a motorcycle, and trying on the related gear - i have to say i look good in those armored gloves and mesh jackets. we had to go over the paperwork four times, literally, to make sure we understood how to do it…and then had to do some of it again because we filled in the wrong things (who confuses “buyer” with “seller”??…and my shopping is fraught with indecision and unknowns and is now done on foot, but i’ve decided none of those things is bad.
   could you throttle me or what?

   Usually I get a lot more organized in a merc rx, but this time, no such luck. Both computers acting up, both printers out, voice messages disappearing and every thing I say seems to be misconstrued. The 9th you say?!

   Lots of missed chances to talk, my cell calls not going through, people getting more hurt than usual by things I say, my writing being junkier than usual. Mercury is transiting my 3rd house and squaring natal Uranus–little wonder!

    I keep blowing up lightbulbs when I light up the lamps. I hate that But I don’t think this only happens in Mercury RX.
    Mixed signals, people that say something and then don’t do it…generally a very confused mind. Oh, I just noticed this Mercury Rx is opposite my natal one.

    Good Gracious.

    I don’t even know if I can list all of the crazy things that have happened in the past month. Well, ok. It hasn’t been that crazy, but it has been rather busy and wacky.

    Here are my examples of things that have been rather Mercury-Retro related:

    *Confusing traveling plans (changed visit time to family three times due to various factors)

    *family I visited was close family, siblings

    *Came home early from travel, due to chaos and stress

    *Had to reschedule a number of appts, moved them from June to July (they are next week now)

    *Made an appt, was told after a couple days that the doctor actually wasn’t “in” on that day, even though they put me down for it. When I tried to call and reschedule, I was unable to reach them, after several calls over several days. Kept reaching stupid message (which you can’t leave your own message on!!)

    *Went by an office at another appt, trying to leave info for the person, couldn’t get to them, finally they reached me at home after hours.

    *Heard from a couple friends who I hadn’t heard from, and had been trying to reach for a decent while.

    *my husband (just for a couple weeks in June) had major upgrades at his work, and his schedule was thrown for a loop (he didn’t get home until 1am for a week straight, working 12-hour shifts), and now, still during the retrograde, his boss agreed to change his schedule from 2-10pm instead of his usual 12-8pm (gives us a couple more hours together). Woo! I guess something good came out of this!

    *I’m not sure what else…I know I also had trouble getting together with my sister before her traveling stint…

    I’d say primarily it was scheduling and travel conflicts.

    Hope you’re all doing well. I’m looking forward to things being less crazzzy.

    emails getting lost, plans going awry, trying to look for somewhere new to live to no avail, knowing i made an appointment for one day and having the office phone to confirm a different day altogether, my cell phone randomly dropping connection, text messages taking two days to go through…

    yup. it’s retro all right.

    Well. Ridiculously well. Applied for school, got accepted, sent in loan docs, got accepted, ferries have been on time, mail is on time. I was born with Mercury Rx, in Taurus. I feel this is why it doesn’t seem to mess with me.

    I travelled during this– all the way across the country– and did GREAT. things just clicked along for me travel-wise, even to the point of having a clear sail from manhattan to newark in only 20 minutes when we were leaving. mercury is retrograde in my natal chart.

    p.s. I have natal Mercury Retrograde, but I still have problems with it. I’ve had a few people say they aren’t bothered by the rx, but I don’t believe it! I think it’s a myth–well, mind over matter, maybe.

    it’s been rather brutal, but travel certainly hasn’t given me any trouble…went from IL to TX, then back to IL to pack up and move back to TX again!! lol…but communication has been rife w/stress and heartache c’est la vie!

    I seem to be completely unable to communicate with my parents. The same circular conversation every day. Plans postponed, lateness..

    Hannah, it does bother me, in that I work for a delivery company and every Rx, computers crash in banks, elevators slow down, traffic snarls, deliveriers are late, cheques are inexplicably NSF, and in one memorable Mercury Rx, my company’s phone lines AND electrical power both went dead. So I guess it would seem to affect me because I work there. It’s true. Personally, though, my own shizz seems to be okay (I have worked too long in my industry to allow myself to stress out about delays–it would kill me if I did)!

    Two broken DVD players for me and a broken favorite soda cup. Hubby has experienced a lot of weird computer breakages (on the servers even) at work. Oh & I quit my job yesterday. Verbal communication with people close to me has been way way down, both when Im talking and when they are.
