I’ve been thinking about the truth-telling liars I know. I attract them and no, it’s not because I am one. Remember that debate? It was grand. Does Like Attracts Like? Or Is There Another Explanation?

So yeah. I’m not a truth telling liar but I am (and always have been) closely associated with people who are and I have a theory as to why. They’re interesting!

As for current, both my daughter and the soldier routinely lie and tell the truth. They both have Gemini and can readily lie for any number of reasons or even for no reason at all other than to keep things interesting.

But they both have Jupiter in Sagittarius and in the end, the truth comes out and not because they’re found out. The truth comes out because they just can’t lie.

And understanding their natures, I cut them a lot of slack but last night I thought I should wonder why. Because there have been times I’ve ejected people from my life for this exact behavior and you know what they say. If someone can do it, they can do it you.

I can do it so realizing this; I thought I better figure out just exactly how much this pisses me off. You know. Could I be mad as hell… a Mars in Libra powder keg ready to blow?

I thought this possible but once focused I was able to see what distinguished current situations from the situations I’ve reacted strongly to in the past. Basically it comes down to motive. Why is this person lying? Is it manipulative? Is it something sinister or the reason more benign?

In the case of the soldier and my daughter, their lies are sort of funny. Although they are technically lies, I see them more as placeholders for the truth… ::snort:: …which will be along shortly.

And I will come back on this (it is a Saturn in Virgo topic) but meantime, do you know any truth-telling liars?

Saturn hits Virgo in September and there is a lot of interest around what to expect. The transit will manifest in endless ways on endless levels and the last blog is an example of this.

Saturn in Virgo squares Sagittarius the sign prone to blathering, preaching and going on and on. And just look at that. I am being called out by my daughter for my endless complaining and if I want to be taken seriously I best reign it in. And she has a point believe me. Because I sound like this for 1700 miles:

“Look at that jerk! Another jackass driving slow in the left lane. Here I am! I am an idiot, annoying people coast to coast! I am forty years old and by God, would you believe I am just this stupid! I am. I still haven’t figured this out. I can’t seem to glean I am doing something wrong when people pass me on the right for 3 days straight, each of them glaring. Why do they do that? You know what? To hell with them! I like this lane. This is my favorite lane. It’s the lane I like and I am going to drive in it for the rest of my life and the rest of these people can just go to hell because I will not… I will not notice I am in the way of EVERYONE because I am missing a lobe of my brain and honey?”

“What?”

And then I go on for a few dozen more run on sentences…

So are we all relieved Saturn is going in Virgo? I thought so. All big mouths get a chock in their wheels… a sock in their mouth or whatever you want to call it. You know. SHUT UP!!!

My daughter has a Virgo Mars which is another Mars Mercury exchange. We were in the car on Friday, I was dropping my kids for the weekend before I left to meet the soldier.

“Yeah, it’s going to be another longish trip,” I said. ‘So you’ll be spared that.”

“Yeah,” she said before launching into a lecture about that crummy singer in the band she likes.

“Oh, him. Thanks for reminding me I’m going to spared listening to that guy all across the country. I should appreciate that.”

“And I’ll be spared you complaining about people who drive slow in the left lane.”

I turned and stared. “Okay, well I do, do that so touche’.”

I had impulse to launch into a preachy tirade about why this was justified but caught myself… barely.

Do you on and on?

It’s another ultra-challenging and dynamic day out there, however I met some folks yesterday who were dealing well and I noted how and why.

The sky is trash, save Mercury which is well aspected by both Mars and Uranus. My cell phone was repaired yesterday by an eccentric (Uranus) man (Mars) who made quips (Mercury) the whole time I was in the store. Not just to me but to the crowd of 10-12 gathered at his counter as if it were a bar.

“Help you?” he said as I approached.

“Yeah. Need to know if I need a battery or a phone.”

“That’ll be $700,” he said with a straight face.

Dear Mother,

You’re scared and I understand why but no I don’t think you are going to wind up hurt and alone. Venus is well aspected and elevated in your chart. It is also trine Jupiter (love from a foreigner) so I can easily see this working out. However your concern is really only the tip of an iceberg that I think you’d be well advised to address.

That is, you appear to be buying the idea that having been left by a man with your children, you are somehow damaged goods. In reality, it is just the opposite. You are a responsible person taking care of your children regardless and I feel you should hold your head high. And I am telling you unequivocally, with Venus in Leo the 10th house, if you do this you will command respect.

On the other hand if you hold your head down and buy this other story (a Jupiter word) about your value (Venus), you may just have a self-fulfilling prophesy on your hands so please…

Work to replace your fear with the confidence you earned. And if this man lets his family talk him out of his love… well he’s not the man for you, is he? Try not to worry. I think you are going to be all good one way or the other. And here’s another tip and Jupiter trick:

Change your perspective! Are you lowly because you’ve been married, or he is lowly because he hasn’t? See how this is?

With Venus in the 10th, you are prone to judging love. Instead seek (Jupiter) real (10th house) love (Venus) from the heart (Leo) and you’ll have no problems at all.

I responded: “Having Libra, I would not be able to decide what to take so I would leave it all.”

I could have added, having Venus mashed with Neptune only the nebulous has value anyway. And having a packed 8th… well how can you have a wipe out if you’re not wiped out?

We heard from Frontline over the weekend and will not be on the show unless something drastic happens. They are going with just two families and want to profile children younger than my daughter.

I have to say I feel relieved. I’d have done it but if I don’t have to, even better. My daughter was mildly disappointed but only for a minute or two. She’s a Gemini after all. Why dwell?

I take this as very positive sign. Because I was willing, I don’t have to. I don’t know if that is the correct interpretation or not but whatever. I am off the hook and I am glad and grateful.

Do you believe the fact you’re willing to do something difficult might be the reason you are spared doing it?

The soldier thinks this is a very small world. He has a habit of running into people in his past in the strangest places. He particularly tends to collide with people who have done him wrong, frequently long after they’ve forgotten him and he said they are always very surprised how acute his memory is. (Taurus / Scorpio)

And listening to him, I could believe it though I am not sure I can say I have had the same experience. But I think you get to a certain age and you figure out some things that if not true for all, are true for you. So in his case, due his experience, he always takes care how he treats people as he has every expectation he will see them again… “in one country or another.” And I think this very interesting.

Not necessarily what is true for him but figuring out what is true for each individual. Because whatever it is that repeats like this is going to show in a chart and surely you are meant to glean it and learn from it.

For example I’ve been dragged to court many times. I never lose but I never win either. There is either nothing to win (except for you don’t lose) or in some cases I might be able to counter-sue but don’t bother. So there is no benefit to this outside of coming to understand that I am an ultra-credible person. And if I weren’t could I write this blog? Probably not. So what do you call the opposite of collateral damage? Collateral benefit? I have that.

So I’ve written this before and I don’t care. I am going to keep writing it because I think it’s so incredibly important and worthwhile to your life if you can pick out these patterns. Is there anything that happens to you (for good or ill) so many times you know it has to be more than coincidence?
