Astrology and Benefiting From Major Transits: Just What Good Is All This Trouble?
Ask the collective…
cj asks: “Do you have any idea how long it will take a sat/neptune signature person like myself to see and feel the positive side of the profound changes?”
That’s a really good (but tricky) question and I am not sure I have a definitive answer. In theory anything you learn (Saturn) should pay increasing dividends over time. At the height of a transit like this it’s hard to see the nuance and all the ways you are being impacted and affected. And it nearly impossible to discover how what you are learning might be applied. But a year or two or ten after the fact, you might realize a period like did in fact change and rearrange you completely and how critical it was to your growth.
For example, had I not invested in (3 years!!) of therapy some 15 years ago I would have no business writing this blog! But when I was doing all that crying and agonizing, this blog has not been conceived which means I did that work (Saturn) on faith (Neptune)! So I now I look back and can say, if not for that there would never be this. Boy am I glad about that! And this is true for different things, a million times over but I am not sure everyone is going to have the same result. This is a Saturn result. It’s a slow build on a solid foundation.
So if you worked the Neptune side of this opposition (escaped, stayed addicted, avoided reality) while ignoring Saturn, well then when the tide goes out, there you’ll be.
On the other hand if you have worked fathom Neptune you are now open to and aware you have the ability to erase your fear, access nirvana… etc. etc.
So your question is tricky because it sounds as if you cannot identify any benefit you’ve gleaned so far but I’m not sure I’m right about that. I am also not sure you’re right about that, but if you are… no problem.
If people show up saying they have no idea what good has come of this, I will start sharing my experience and since all experience is universal, others should be able to read it and say, “Oh yeah. Thaaaat.” ![]()
Anyone else with input?

don’t know if this is a comment on this post or more of a general question — is there any kind of ‘widget’ you can post on the front page of your blog with current astro positions? that way we can check degrees and signs w/o leaving your site. luv yr blog! thanks.
elsie, I know other people have those and I’ll tell HQ it’s desired. He is working on a redesign now but as far as what I can do, I have no technical or design skills at all so am at a loss! Thanks
Great answer, Elsa, thanks! I think I’ve worked (saturn) extremely hard over the last 6 years but don’t have concrete results to look at (neptune). I’ve had to surrender (neptune) and be detached from results (saturn). I thought the early years of constant pluto transits were rough, this neptune action has been a whole new experience for a goal-oriented person like me. I’ve had to learn to have more faith.
