Paris Hilton de terror!!!
Que cumpla la condena.
I feel sorry for anyone who has addiction problems and is delusional. That level of fame is closer to hell than anything else, me thinks.
at the moment not much…just thought i’d point out that Kim Phu is alive and well and thriving. what a gracious woman she has turned out to be.
she lives somewhere in north america and is raising her family as well as helping other victims of war. may she live long and prosper.
…Paris Hilton i feel is one of many who will be instrumental in cooling down the contemporary culture’s heated obsession with celebrity. why we worship and uphold other human beings as gods will be, in my opinion, a recurring question in conversations in everyday life.
wouldn’t it be great if Paris could find herself involved in some organization that helped others and in that way help herself. of course it also would be nice if she do this on the “quiet”.
overall for me it is a pity that someone felt the need to draw some similarity between these two women when in fact there is no fact. its just another example of celebrity gossipmongering and humans getting hooked to fake goods and not the goods if you know what i mean. ; )
but Violet, there seems to me to be a connection in the extent of the NON-connection. ends of the spectrum… not to mention the fact that an Iconic photographer is now in the position of being a Paparazzo.
‘ends of the spectrum’
i love it, it’s so true. Because when you have ends of a spectrum, they join in a circular fashion…
I was being hyperbolic when I said ‘closer to hell.’ Given the comparison to the war in Vietnam. Hope I didn’t offend anyone with my flippancy!
Satori i am not ashamed to say i am obtuse at times. would you mind bearing with me while i try to figure out what you wrote above?
“…there seems to me to be a connection in the extent of the NON-connection.” ~ Huynh Cong(Nick)Ut, the Pulitzer prize winning photographer, takes a photo of a weeping multi-monied heiress on June 8, 2007. exactly 35 years ago to the day he also took a photo of children and other villagers fleeing a napalm attack. centrally featured in this now iconic photo shot is nine year old Kim Phuc. she is on fire. i get that Ut is the connection, but i sense you mean something deeper is going on here and that is the point i am missing.
is it that even the most heroic amongst us (Ut not only took the photo shot, but also went to Phuc and her family’s aid by bringing them to a hospital), is also vulnerable to being a part of the celebrity watching maelstrom?
as strange as this may sound, is it possible he may have found himself in a second war. first the Vietnam war and now this, IMHO, current battle for our minds and spirits when we are fed who does what to whom, when, and where 24/7. could this possilbly be the “ends of the spectrum” you refer to?
please help me out here, i want to understand what you mean.
Kashmiri no offence is taken by me personally from your earlier comment.
