Venus is leaving Cancer for Leo today… hooray!
I have Venus in Leo (square Neptune) and consequently people are confused (Neptune) about my hair (Leo).
I had completely straight hair when I was younger and my hair is now completely curly. People who know me now don’t believe it was every straight. People who knew me then… at least one stubborn Taurus has a problem with the change. 
This is the soldier talking. Or trying to, that is.
“I liked your straight hair, P. Your hair was great. Damn I liked your hair,” he said.
“What? What did you say? Are you crazy? Are you out of your mind? My hair is great. It’s great right now. Look at it! Its curly now and wonderful, have you noticed? Everybody loves my hair! People see this hair and they just wish it was theirs. Jeez, Elsa. Damn, you have good hair,” I said. “Damn, damn, damn how did you get so lucky as to have the hair that you do.”
He laughed.
“Look. You are entitled to your brain damage but don’t even think about making hair complaints when my hair is this good. I mean this great. Just look at it! Look at this hair! I have pretty much the best hair in the world so what you think you’re doing complaining about it is beyond me. You should have as good of hair as I do. You don’t, you know. My hair is better than yours. You hair is… well your hair is nothing next to mine. It’s plain, that’s what it is. Your hair is plain, there is nothing special about it at all so what you are doing bitching… well like I said. You best confine your brain damage to arenas that do not include having problems with my hair.”
He snorted.
“That’s right. Nobody has better hair than mine, that’s for sure! And this includes me! Even my hair… even my hair in another day and age is not going to be any better than the hair I have now because you cannot get better hair than this and that is all there is to it! I shook my curly-haired head and he laughed.
“Okay, let’s go,” I said. “Me and my great hair are ready to get a move on so how about it? Are we going or are we staying? My hair says, let’s go. My hair says lets go be seen with this good hair and you can bring your plain hair too if you want. I can’t wait until you have no hair, by the way. You will never hear the end of it and it will all be payback for what you did right now. Have the audacity to say or even think my hair could be improved. Is there shrapnel in your head too? I think there must be. And if not, I will put some there if you ever complain about my hair again!”

ROFL!! Saturn/Pluto in Leo trine Venus in Sag in the 1st . . . and I have been rightfully vain about my “mane” all my life. Started out white blonde as a kid & it’s still honey blonde with highlights. I have to laugh at myself because that’s the one place I spend money is on my hair . . .
Ok, so I barely get this astrology stuff, but I’m fascinated by it (hence why I hang out here. Oh, who am I kidding, I just like to read your stories). My sun sign is Leo, and while I am decidedly not leo-like in some ways, I am about my hair. It is all about the hair. I have great hair. I have hair that even on its worst day looks better than most people’s hair on their best day. I am obsessive about my hair and protective of my hair and freak out if it starts to look not quite right. I have naturally straight hair and have been trying to wear it board straight as is the fashion right now, but I prefer it fluffed up and curled and mane-like. Oh yes, this Leo girl is happy to discuss her hair. I once had an acquaintance compliment my hair in the elevator. I spent the entire ride explaining to him what I’d done to it that morning. When we got off the elevator my friend said, “you know he was just hitting on you right, he didn’t really care about your hair.” I was incensed. Of course he cared about my hair - how could you not?

Jet black and deeply wavy. Back east with humidy more on the curly side, but in the SW more wavy….I like it much better. The look is striking I am told…kind of ’snow white’. But in summer (as in now) I’m tan and freckly with my jet black hair….getting longer by the minute and already long.

Oh, three planets in leo: sun, mars, mercury. AND it’s not ALL about me (lots of cool wispy air in their too), except for this morning when my ego was bruised/crushed/mutilated for scraps. RRRRRR.

I just cut my hair today really short. I always used it long but I got tired of it, made a radical change. Everyone is saying they didnt’ recognize me and I look really cute. A collegue from work was against it, lol.

Aquarius with no leo in my chart, (except my IC).
I’ve got gorgeous, thick, and utterly unruly American Indian hair. It will not be tamed or controlled except occasionally by a professional, and even then it’s gotta fuck with ‘em a bit first. They all wind up with hair splinters when they’re done trimming it.
It’s pretty straight, but with a definite wave… Naturally almost black, but with a definite tinge of red highlight throughout. It doesn’t like to be permed or colored and tends to resist chemicals of all sorts. A hairdresser friend once said, half jokingly, that we should take a lock of my hair and drop it into straight bleach to see how long it took to change color, and to find out whether it would dissolve.
When I confess to women that I don’t bother trying to style it, they call me ‘bitch’. As a small child, a redheaded woman commented that I had more hair than her entire redheaded family - herself, her husband, and their 2-3 kids.
And honestly, there are entire weeks and months of time when I look in the mirror and want to shave it all off, just to be a little lighter and a little cooler. *lol*
My only Leo is my 12th house Saturn… But it’s also one corner of a fiery grand trine that includes my Aries Venus and Sadge Neptune.
I have unpredictable, wavy pitch-black hair (I’m brown as a cabin boy).
Once, when I was younger, the hairstylist tried to give me a short, sleek bob. I nearly cried when I looked at myself in the mirror. I looked like a boy! Never again!

Venus in Leo conjunct North Node,square Neptune,opposing Saturn and inconjunct Jupiter/Chiron.No matter how broke I have ever been at any time of my life,I always had money to go to the best salon in town,’cause you know they treat you like a Queen in those places,and you end up with a cut that makes people stop you in the grocery to ask you who does your hair…I love it when that happens.
Mars and Saturn in Leo. My vaguely-wavy-mostly-straight hair went curlier after a bout of pneumonia that made my hair fall out for six months. It actually made its own ringlets for a brief period of time. Alas, it doesn’t do so any more, but it is naturally wavier than it used to be.
Moon in Leo. Love getting my hair done at the hairdressers and feeling like a queen. Very relaxing too. I dyed my hair last night, from fair to chocolate brown! now I need more eyebrows!
With my Dad,I’ve been trying to work out his birth time and ASC for years - no planets in Leo -but he’s got such a thing about his hair - gotta be just right - so I’ve placed his Asc as Leo!
Jupiter in Leo in the fifth, have had some really bad haircuts in my time and it totally was ruined for long periods of time, but it’s half straight/half wavy and never makes up it’s mind. It is an auburn color and I really love that.
My friend is a Leo rising and has the most perfectly naturally red Leo mane I have ever seen and it’s one of her pride and joys.
so far 13 hairstyles during my lifetime and counting. went from military cut, to Spok from Star Trek, to afro, to spikey, to long, to dreads. Changed hue in all colors of the rainbow. will not pay more than 10 bucks for a haircut, and do it only once a year. I absolutely hate spending money on my hair so I cut my own bangs. I still get compliments on it tho!

just this past March i cut my hair real short. i did it by my own hand since i’m apprehensive about hair salons. i had done some awful things to it the previous months with an ionic ceramic straightening comb, so this was an opportunity to put some vitalitiy back into my tresses.
of course i was concerned about being “guy” to everyone, but to my surprise that hasn’t happened so far. instead i have been miss, madam, that lady, & ma’am like at no other time in my life ~go figure.
i simply adore my hair. a few of my leo placements are mercury, uranus, & part of fortune.

And he’s got this kind of unruly thick hair that just seems to grow really fast.

I tell him how the shape changes everyday too! Surprises. He wakes up with cowlicks to poofiness, lopsided to perfection. Sometimes, he just can’t get it to stay right! But, I love him and his hair (aka the mane). Wouldn’t have it any other way. [gushes] =P
I have the Descendant in Leo and Aquarius Rising. I’ve been waiting a long time to get one of those trendy, interesting haircuts that I see all over the place in my college. People have complemented my red hair, it’s kind of not really completely red but sort of auburn and thus have convinced me into inertia about dying or rather not dying it. In college I rarely cut my hair and when one girl did, the cut had no layers in it and hasn’t ever since, though I cut it myself and it turned out not too bad. It’s gotten weird wavy characteristics it never had before and thus becomes triangular so I have looked and felt like Rosanna Rosannadanna. Lately I’ve had alternate days of looking like a schlepper and others when in spite of my quite shitty appearance, dressing up and setting my hair. The effort has made me feel more confident and hope that people see I’m making an effort and therefore tell me that I look good when I feel that I do, so I can definitely get the Leo thing.
My hair? It strictly adheres to Murphy’s Law: whatever CAN go wrong WILL go wrong! And believe me, there isn’t anything I haven’t tried at this point in my life. *Sigh*
Leo? I have Mercury in Leo, and Neptune in my 5th. I personally am fondest of my mind, vocabulary, and my imagination.

Mars and Saturn in Leo here - fourth and fifth house. I actually don’t do much with my hair except let it grow and wash it. It is long, though, to my waist, even at 59. And I tried to let it go grey, but couldn’t handle the two tone look so I color it. I’m one of those people who forgets to look in the mirror before I go out of the house sometimes, which has led to some strange looks. I guess personal appearance isn’t a real big issue with me, although I do clean up nicely.
My SO is Leo rising and very particular about his hair - it’s always done just so. He fussed one time when I ran my fingers through it when we were out, saying I’d mess it up - although he did invite me to mess it up later. He is so proud to be in his 50’s and not be going bald.
Both of my daughters have beautiful hair. My 5 yo has gorgeous blonde hair, and my 3 yo’s hair is exactly like mine–same color, same color highlights, same texture–straight but very thick.
I’m a Leo Sun, my 5 yo has a Leo Moon, and my 3 yo has Leo rising.
I have a weird relaionship with my hair. It is linked, no–chained to my self-esteem. I used to chop it off after going through pain for years to grow it long. I’d chop it when I felt bad about myself. Not. A. Good. Course. Of. Action. A bad dye job makes me feel so low.
Lately, it’s been looking pretty hot, though I am ridiculously scared of it looking scruffy. I recently went on holiday and made an effort with my hair every day, because as we all know, a great photo of yourself on holiday with a smokin’ hot head of hair is the best kind of therapy that money can buy…

Carrie, aside from your post making me laugh my ass off, it reminded me of a hair/elevator encounter once. I work with a woman with AMAZING hair. I just love it, and can totally appreciate the effort she gives it. I love telling her I love her hair, and she loves to hear it.
One day in the elevator, I said “My God I love your hair! It’s so beautiful!” And she laughs and thanked me. A third woman who I didn’t know at all said “Yes, I’ve tried to hate — for her hair for years and she’s just too nice.” The woman got out and —-and I just looked at each other. “What’s that about?” I said. “It’s true, she really hated me for having awesome hair for a really long time. I just killed her with kindness and she seems to be over me.”
She must have Leo, eh?

As a tot I had mainly straight hair, and tons of it. Occassional waves in humid weather. I hit puberty and BAM! Corkscrews. Thick like jungle underbrush. I have only one planet in Fire - Mercury in Aries. However, my progressed chart went from Cancer rising to Leo rising at 13 - just when the curls arrived.
i’ve been growing my hair out probably since saturn went into leo and i love it! i get so many great compliments on it all the time! i have found the hairstyle for me
Oh Liz, you just reminded me. I cut all my hair off in a fit just as Saturn was going into Leo and have been growing it out again ever since. It’s shoulder length again and wavy and henna’d and I really love it now.
I have great hair … nothing going on with Leo tho. Ceres, which … heck, I don’t even know what that is? I’m thinking an asteroid or something, now I”m going to have to go look.
But yeah, my one point of real vanity is my hair. *grin*
