Fired For Gossiping? Here’s A Gemini Story! Astrology In The Mainstream News (Inadvertantly)
Outtakes and Various Other Sundries…
Gemini is known to gossip…
As reported by abcnews:
Four Women Fired for Gossiping
“What happened in the town of Hooksett, N.H., is no rumor.
Four town employees with 46 years of service between them were fired, in part for gossiping and discussing rumors of an improper relationship between the town administrator and another employee that Hooksett residents now agree were not true…”
What kills me is the picture they chose to accompany the article. Gemini twins!
Read about the gossiping women…
Does it make sense to fire someone for gossiping?

Well, we Geminis do love to gossip….and these people are obviously not keeping current with the numerous articles that I read many years ago as a corporate executive explaining how gossip is viewed as a healthy thing on many levels, including getting information that cannot be had any other way (survival mechanism) group cohesiveness and social bonding, and other things I am still too sick to remember
I can see where gossiping can interfere with work.. if so sure. I dont think that gossiping is the right thing to do, but I dont think that if it is done at break or lunch that its something to get fired over.
If it becomes all consuming, I can see it being a work issue. How productive can employees be if they are too busy discussing the next level of a supposed scandal?
Apparently some people, including the gossipers mentioned in the article, don’t understand that what they do can be *very* damaging to other people. As such, I would not describe it as “healthy”. But maybe this is hard to grasp if you haven’t been on the receiving end of it.
I agree, gossip when it tarnishes reputations and gets carried too far can make work life very difficult for the person being discussed and work is hard enough. A woman i used to work with was the subject of much gossip despite not really doing anything except working hard and having a relationship with another colleague. It almost became a hate campaign and was quite hard on her though she dealt with it well. Its a form of bullying in my mind.
