Astrology Today: Saturn Direct and Leaving Leo - Ego, Bay-bee! It’s Not A Dirty Word!
My eye on the sky…
“Without ego, there would be no entertainment.”
That right there is one of my favorite things to say. I came up with it some years ago when someone came on my blog to complain about my ego. I couldn’t believe it. I was entertaining everyone. What would they have me do? Go sit in the corner and hang my head in shame? It was ludicrous.
Some of us are going to hold our heads up, see. Do you mind? If you do mind, why? What possible problem could you have with someone feeling good about themselves?
Saturn is direct and leaving Leo for Virgo in September. It begs you solidify (Saturn) your ego (Leo). Define (Saturn) your creative self (Leo). In other words, carve out your stage!
You’ve got four months. Are you going to do the work (Saturn)?
Yes/No

It’s interesting how Leo/Sun/5th house is connected to both creative self expression and the ego….hmmmmm…..I hadn’t actually thought about the idea of ego being so closely intertwined with creative self expression or entertainment before.
It is wonderful when people feel good about themselves. It is entertaining and it is contagious, and it just makes you smile. SHINE! But there is a line between feeling good about yourself and self-centredness, self-indulgence and arrogance. The flip-side of the coin.
Yes, yes, yes.
I have Saturn in Leo, and have enjoyed this Saturn Return…I guess…Carving out my stage, exactly. Saturn exits Leo the same time I begin art school. I’m going to spend the next four months absorbing as much confidence and pleasure from the ‘audience’ as Leo has to offer me. Or something!
Yes I am!
Ill be joining a gym this summer. By the end of it, I should have a different body and attitude.
I’m personally gearing up to apply to several design and marketing companies in the next month or two and setting my feet in the path of an actual career. Very exciting
Unfortunately, Leos DO get a bad rap when it comes to ego. It’s really frustrating when I say something with which others don’t agree. I’m accused of being brash, loud and a ‘ranter’ for voicing my opinion and purposely trying to draw attention to myself. Of course, being a Leo that’s not going to stop me. And, yes, we can tend towards egocentricity. But then… can’t we all?
The real flip-side of Leo is that — for the most part — we genuinely CARE about others (in spite of our huge egos and seeming self-centeredness) and want EVERYONE to shine. “Here, I’ll move over so you can share some of my spotlight. There’s enough here for us both.” (Believe it or not, it DOES happen!)
Bottom line, Elsa: you’re fine. There’s always going to be someone who’ll have something to say about you having the guts to voice your opinion. And it’s usually those who are too afraid to stand up for themselves and lean on us to do so that accuse us of having big mouths.
I´m a teacher, and since I take it as my daily slice of spotlight and staging I have soo much more fun…being a sag, guess jupiter cj my sun also helps!
I had a chance to get up on a stage this week… didn’t take it, though. I’d much rather stay in the audience where I can pretend I’m invisible.
