Jupiter Transit Through Sagittarius - Expand Your (Astrology) Education?
Astrology in Real Life…
I was on the phone with satori…
“Well I don’t know about learning more astrology. I’m not sure I have any interest and that probably sounds weird. But take my sister. Now she’s psychic. I don’t care what anyone says. The fact is she is psychic, and this is beyond dispute. And she can also read a chart. But after awhile, she decided she really didn’t need any more astrology. I mean she uses it. If she gets something psychically, she will always look at the chart. Because if it’s not in the chart, she knows she’s off base but beyond that, she really doesn’t need astrology. There is just no need for her to study any more because it’s much easier this other way.”
“Yeah, I get it.”
“Right. And I feel kind of bad about this. Because a lot of astrologers they just keep learning. It’s unbelievable how much these people know. They are very scholarly! No kidding. There are some brilliant freaks out there which is just not what I am. I just can’t get into it because for what I do and for what I want to do, splicing a midpoint into a million little pieces and looking at it under a microscope is just not going to help. I don’t know what else to say.”
She was quiet.
“So at this point I pretty much think I’d be better off to study other things. Things that are not necessarily astrology but relate to what I am doing. I mean I want to know more, for sure. But I don’t think more astrology is going to help me. Because I can generally look at a chart for about one second and know what’s going on. And diddling with it for a half hour or an hour isn’t going to change… its just not significant. I still have to communicate the thing I knew I had to communicate from the first second I looked at the chart so it seems to me that getting better at that is the ticket.”
“Makes sense.”
“So anyway, I think I may leave it to others to be brilliant… brilliant astrologers. Because we definitely need them, but I just don’t have the impetus to move in that direction and it’s very hard to pretend I do.”
“Yeah.”
“Yeah, I’m not a scholar,” I said with a chuckle. “But I very much want to improve. I want to get much, much better at what I do and I have some ideas how I might manage this but learning more astrology is not one of them. I would definitely do it if it would help but I just don’t think it’s going help a thing. Luckily I can think of lots of things that will, though.”
In the last couple months, since Jupiter went into Sagittarius, have you noticed a shift like this in your life? Are you expanding yourself in a different realm?

I went back to school in September and probably will be there (part time) for years to come. Been waiting about 7 or 8 years for this. And it’s been hard, and at this point I kinda am not that into it, but I know it’s right.
OH Yeah, I got pregnant and started to EXPAND as Jupiter entered my 5th house ( cusp - 2 degrees Sag) ![]()
I don’t know. I am going to, presenting at and listining at political science conferences and all I know is I am so terribly uncomfortable, and I so NOT want to be there it is unreal. I have the same thing you describe the: I am not a scholar feeling. The problem is: I am writing a PhD, so i should be a scholar, and the pressure is on, so I don’t think it’s time to look elsewhere. See, it would be very nice to say: oh I’d like to write a novel instead, but fact is I DO want to finish the PhD. I am not going to do both, am I. At least not now. Putting the insecurities aside and saying: what the hell, I will be a scholar for a year and a half more, then I’ll move on if I want. But I’m not making the decision now. Maybe the only way to expand is to go through the middle here.
Oh, hey Michelle! Congrats! And now that I stop and think on it, Jupiter was smack in my 5th house when *I* was pregnant. lol!
For me, Jupiter in Sag is to be in my 6th house…and it entered just about the same time as Pluto began an opposing transit to my Mars. Should I be surprised that I recently got an urge to start exercising? I even bought one of those silly balls, which I’ve never before had interest in. Always when I get these urges, I think, “later…” And flaky Gem Mars, I’m not as regular at it yet as I should be…but I’m doing better than I ever have. I just feel the need to get into better overall physical shape (6th house!), and wonders of wonders, actually seem to be getting around to it this time.
Jupiter transiting my 5th house Saggitarius, conj. ntal Venus, opposing natal Jupiter, only thing expanding is the amount of overtime, almost 2 extra weeks worth every month, boy am I tired.
Jupiter is transiting my first house. I can’t even begin to say all of the ways this is expanding me right now. I can say I’m very happy about all of them, though not necessarily the means by which some expansions are happening.
Jupiter is transiting my 12th house…I’m studying a mixed bag of astrology and theosophy and busted out of academics to take my art to a different level, which is out of my closeted studio and I’m now showing all kinds of people what I’m doing creatively.
