Capricorn Quotes - Redux

Outtakes and Various Other Sundries…

Capricorn is known for being in control, their seriousness and taking responsibility, and persevering in difficult circumstances. Typically Capricorn struggles and overcomes great adversity in early life, building character, as they say. But the sign matures well, and things tend to ease the 2nd half of life as Capricorn comes into their own, generally proving themselves to be formidable people with integrity who no longer discounted.

Julia Ormond

Anthony Hopkins

felliniEveryone knows that time is Death, that Death hides in clocks. Imposing another time powered by the Clock of the Imagination, however, can refuse his law. Here, freed of the Grim Reaper’s scythe, we learn that pain is knowledge and all knowledge pain.
Federico Fellini

    YAY!!! I Luuuuvre Capricorns!
I know a Capricorn who also has Saturn in Capricorn–that planet’s home. He had a terrible MVA a few year ago, broke 2 vertebrate, had the surgery, and has lived to tell the tale. He’s now a yoga teacher. Talk about overcoming adversity.

It’s true, Capricorns grow more youthful in spirit as they grow older.

    Favorite Capricorn quotes:

    Louise Bourgeois (an awesome sculptor):
–”Every day you have to abandon your past or accept it and then if you cannot accept it, you become a scultor.”

    Patti Smith:
–”One road is paved with gold, one road is just a road.”

I was married to a Cap for 12 years. I’m a Leo. The beginning was great, but over time, we just had nothing in common at all.

My experience with my Cap.. he was awful with money, stubborn to no end, and self-centered. He didn’t like to go out or socialize.. he was a homebody, always had his headphones on working on his music. He had a good heart though and tried. Just went about it all wrong.

I’ll definitely agree that they persevere. That’s a great quality.

We still get along though. I mean we have to for our kiddo’s sake. But he drives me NUTS! lol At least we live 1500 miles from each other.

So um… What does that mean for a Cap Moon? Cuz I really loathe mine most of the time…

You know Christine, you’re right. My dad’s dad died when he was some months old and he and his two older brothers were raised by his single mom. So, basically he got used to scrimping and learned to cook at a pretty young age (or was it my brother that learned to cook at a pretty young age..) but anyway, he always worked hard in school and didn’t really go out (currently he can’t understand why I don’t do my homework, he advised me a little while ago to finally learn responsibility and self control which I thought at that moment was very Capricorn advice) started working when he was 16 and when he went to college, was working some jobs too. He got married early so he had to deal with the responsibility of a kid. The real example of how my dad took on a lot of responsibility at a relatively young age is how when my mom was pregnant with me, he worked a night and day job (maybe more?), came to my mom’s hospital every day and cooked her food, and visited his mom every day because without him she wouldn’t eat. Without him, my mom and I wouldn’t be able to survive in America or get as far as we’ve gotten. But at the same time, he has a really corny sense of humor/loves to tell jokes, which I think is a Capricorn thing for their whole life, I don’t know if it constitutes being more youthful when you’re older and also loves to socialize with people (I guess he is more successful at it than both my mom and me even though I LIVE on socializing). He is pretty reserved at home in a certain way and in company he often tells stories that I haven’t heard which makes me angrier than anything (Cancer: I don’t want to miss stories about my parents’ past). He and I definitely roughhouse/argue in an immature way. Neither of us really know how to stop and..I guess it’s difficult to explain, but a Capricorn can definitely act like a big little kid. My mom is always telling me how she is always in the middle and able to be accomodating when I usually want my own thing (with the Cancer in my chart, I am pretty Cardinal). And it seems to be getting more prominent as he gets older.

I just found this on the profile of a Scorpio and I think it relates to both Capricorn and Scorpio:

“Sometimes the hardest thing and the right thing
    are the same.”

“A true friend is one who walks in
when the rest of the world walks out.”

The first one seems like such a Saturn thing, I think… and so does the second one.

An ex fiance and current dear friend of mine says this often: The right thing to do is usually the hardest one. Echoes the quote above me, and we both have Saturn sitting on our ascendant. :)
