Coping With The Current Saturn Neptune Opposition: Epiphanies aka Pigs That Talk
Blogs regarding the Saturn Neptune opposition in the sky start here: It’s a Hall Of Mirrors and We’re All In It
Around making your dream (Neptune) real (Saturn) consider the phenomena some would call an epiphany. Have you ever had an epiphany? I have had a few in my life, which doesn’t sound like much until you realize that on one side of the epiphany your life is one way and after the epiphany every single thing is changed forever. If you’re me, that is.
If you’re not me, the epiphany may come and you may dis it. And if you do this, I have no idea what happens. You’ll have to tell me, because I would never look away from information that comes from God, or the universe…
Well actually, I have no idea where the information comes from. It might come from my own imagination. It might come from the other side, friends who have passed. Perhaps people who have epiphanies are mentally ill. They’re delusional! But I’ll tell you, none of this makes a whit of difference and I’ll explain this but first, “The Talking Pig”…
These days I call epiphanies when they come, “talking pigs”. It because of a movie I like, “Queen Of Hearts”. The movie is a love story as well as a character study of a magical little boy (Pisces, I think) and his grandfather. And you can see it if you want, but here’s the thing.
In the beginning of the movie, the father is working as a busboy at some catered affair. A wedding, maybe. And on one of the tables is a cooked pig. You know. The pig is all stuffed on a platter with a apple in it’s mouth but this does not stop it from talking.
So that pig talks. He offers up some information which the man decides to act on and as a result his life changes course.
So what about you? When pigs talk do you listen?

Elsita, baby, this has been my problem my whole life! The pig has talked to me on several occasions and like an idiot, my reaction has always been: Ah, who the hell listens to a talking pig anyway?
So I didn’t and I fucked up!
Now, if you really want to know why people don’t listen to their epiphanies, I’ll tell you. Bc someone programmed them not to listen to their gut. Sometimes people do a slow but effectively deadly number on others and as a result the latter distrust their intuition. Brainwashing is what it is.
Yes, I do. I didn’t used to, and was always the poorer for it. There was one backfire in particular that I was just smacking myself for because if I was honest, I -knew- that was going to happen. Now when my intuition tells me stuff, I sit up and pay attention. My life as a whole has been much better for this. My intuition’s smarter than I am a lot of the time. *grins*

I try to listen, but the Cancer moon versus Capricorn Sun get into arguments over it and then Scorpio rising has a hissy fit and I get distracted by flying knives and corpulent investment bankers (all metaphoric).
But today I walked up to a beautiful tree and said, “I’m lost, what should I do?” And the beautiful tree replied, “be a tree”.
So I was a tree all day and it was so peaceful.
Time to unpack the metaphors and strew them across my life.
The question is, how you know whats the real epiphany and what just something you want to hear.
Oh, Cat, that’s an excellent question. Well, something that you just want to hear doesn’t just pop into your head. Magical thinking is something you talk yourself into and you talk yourself into something by going over it and over it and then creating this beautiful fantasy.
An epiphany comes at you from out of nowhere. Usually, you get a definite physical reaction (at least I do). It’s a little bit like being slapped in the face but it’s not always that violent. You know when you bolt up in bed in the middle of the night? That’s an epiphany.
Epiphanies are rare while magical thinking is common.
That’s some of my experience. I’m sure others can add how they can distinguish.
I don’t know that I’ve ever had one. I wish I did! I could use some friggin direction.
I get them here and there. MOstly when I don’t want them, but I always listen. Always always.
Pigs don’t talk to me, as far as I can tell.
yes!
Usually, I don’t even see the talking pig until I reflect on things at a later date. Sometimes years!
I have always wanted to make this street sign, though: Epiphany Approaching.
