Saturn Transit To Venus Square Neptune - Sugar Addiction…Er, Do the Right Thing
Just Blathering…
Just to illustrate the variety of levels on which a transit manifests, check this on my Saturn transit to Venus:
I am coming off sugar today. I am one of those people highly extremely sensitive to sugar. I would be with Venus (sweet) square Neptune (sensitive). So anyway, I have figured this out and avoided sugar for some years until… I fell off the wagon! Again with the Venus Neptune, there is a sugar addiction and I have to get control (Saturn) of it!
So anyway, I lost my sobriety! And I have been eating ice cream right and left over the last couple months. In an effort to keep up with my out-of-school kids for the most part, along with the stress of missing my regular workouts during the summer break.
But enough of that! I’m going cold turkey now and man oh man, am I ever TIRED. I am just exhausted. Saturn, right? I feel completely oppressed. Nothing a bowl of ice cream wouldn’t fix, but you know. That’s out of the question. That is not allowed!
So I just think this is funny. Because if you’ve ever done this, then you know how it feels. If your body is used to running on sugar and you deprive it? Well it feels like someone beat me up!
So I’m sitting here trying to stay awake while I show up to make various commitments in various relationships. “Yes, I will be there, yes I am committed, yes I am serious…” Blah, blah, blah! What I really want to do is hide under the bed!! Neptune, escape!!!
But noooooooooooooo! Instead I have to face, ponder and process 28 years of relationships, in my face, and I have to do it sober!!
It’s 3:15. I have roughly 7 more ice cream free hours in the day. Root for me, would you?

haha, I’ve been eating icecream lately too, and it usually just isn’t my thing! Just can’t keep it in the freezer. You can do it!

yikes…I’ve been bad lately too. I had severe Candida which I fixed by fixing my diet (cutting out refined carbs, sugar, adding probiotics) Now I’m falling off the wagon and l know it’s bad! I am baking cookies right now! Ack! Double chocolate hazelnut.
Time to give them away…I already had two. I’m rooting for you. You can do it! Veggies and legumes and protein all the way. You can do what I do. When I crave sugar really badly I force myself to drink a nice tall glass of water or herbal tea. This seems to help. It’s like putting a quarter in a swear jar or something.

p.s. the worst thing is that I am part of an organic food co-op (I get organic veggies and fruit every week) and here I am eating sugar! ack!
Good luck Elsa. Treat yourself to a massage. That’s what I wanna do, too. Hot baths and massages are my fave.
A good fix for a sweet-tooth attack is a big bite of a dill pickle. Dunno why it works, but it does.
Cooool, Oct27. I should try that. I made home-made pickles with organic cukes I got.
Have you ever tried pickle-popsicles? Weird but good if you like pickles. It’s just pickle juice frozen. I know…probably not something you should have very often.

You can do it! Actually when the going gets uncomfortable, I hop in a hot bath too. Drinking iced water, or if it’s been a reeeaaaally crap day, gin and tonic. Don’t tell anybody…

I’m off sugar too. Soda is one of my weak points, especially when it’s hot like it is now. A fountain coke with soft ice. But I would rather be healthier.
