For Molly: Neptune Transit to Venus: Venus Square Neptune - Leonard Cohen
Just Blathering
Astrologer, Molly who writes north-node and runs the node-a-rama message board posted about her current Neptune transit to natal Venus asking for input and other people’s experiences.
Well I just finished that transit and have about 400 stories, and here’s one of them:
Back when I was a kid, (15) I was homeless. I got off the street by becoming a live-in housekeeper. I will have to leave a lot out to keep this blog size, but long story short I was very lonely, especially in the evenings.
But I had pal - a running buddy and she got me a record player and I had a few albums. I had Bob Dylan’s, Planet Waves, which is a very lovesick album, and two Leonard Cohen albums.
Now if you know Cohen, then you know he is way too advanced for a 15 year old, however I got lost in his music anyway. And of course his chart aspects mine very tremendously as you may imagine. But anyway, I would lie in this bed in this stranger’s house…who scared the hell out of me and listen to this music in dark, fantasizing.
Now Cohen is pretty morose but an incredible poet and good looking. My type, that is. I have a thing for Jewish musicians…and I am about three months away from meeting Scott here by the way, who is ‚

Oh yes…I can relate to this Elsa. I was introduced to Cohen when I was about 14-15. I love him. He’s probably my favorite poet, and I don’t even necessarily read poetry (though I write it). I would recommend him to any 15 year old (although most might pass him up not realizing how alluringly intelligent he is)!
(sings) “With one hand on a hexagram and one hand on a girl I balance on a wishing well that all men call the world. We are so small between the stars, so large against the sky. And lost among the subway crowds I try and catch your eye… “
p.s.
much love to you and Molly, two wonderful women astrologers who brighten my days
Elsa-bean, thank you. What a lovely post to wake up to.
I was a romantic child too, with big romantic dreams like you.
Neil Young has been my drug of choice lately. Recently I saw “Heart of Gold”, a movie of a poignant live show he performed with a lot of friends a few days before he was to have major surgery. I came out of there so Neptunated, my heart opened up so wide. “Comes a time when you’re drifting..” oh yeah.
I guess I’ll have to get used to being open for a while.
Elsa, I am so grateful for your friendship and touched by your story.
Much love,
Molly

Molly, how ironic. How Neptooooon.
I had known the AMF about a week when that song came up. “Do you know that Neil Young sound, Heart of Gold?” he asked.
“Oh yeah. Of course,” I said.
He looked me right in the eye and told me he thought he’d found one. Mine.
“What?”
He just hugged me.
Doesn’t the AMF look a little like Leonard Cohen?
THAT’S the AMF? Yeah, he does look like Leonard Cohen!
Wait. Actually, that IS Leonard Cohen. You had me going. Har.
Didn’t mean to
but, does the AMF look like Leonard Cohen?
