Saturn In Leo - Who’s A Rock Star Now?

Just Blathering…

tom cruiseI was talking to another astrologer today. I would name him but I am not sure he would necessarily like his association with me exposed, because let’s face it. It’s somewhat embarrassing to know me. And if you doubt this, it’s because you don’t know me. ;-)

Anyway, he can surface if he wants, but in whatever case we were talking about Saturn in Leo and he said he felt the little people…you know, the humble people (Saturn) would be elevated. He felt they would become the (Leo) shining stars…

And I liked hearing that. Because by my nature, I root for the underdog. For example I like those sports movies where the loser team with all the hardship wins in the end… even if they lose. I suppose I am one of those suckers born every minute. So let’s just say, “I liked his story.” And I got that from my man, by the way. He always says that to me. ‘I like your story, Bean.” He calls me Bean.

nicole kidmanSo anyway, I liked his story and that was about it. It was a short conversation but it got me awfully pregnant because I’ve been thinking about it since.

If the lowly rise…the implication is the inflated become reduced. And then guess who I thought of? Tom Cruise! That guy was a ROCK STAR. But he’s really quite creepy isn’t he? And not just with this whole TomKat baby thing. Or his comments around post-partum depression, etc. Remember how he initiated his divorce, with Nicole Kidman, blindsiding her just days before ten year period ended and the pre-nuptial agreement would have kicked in?

Yeccch.

And he got away with that, then. But now look at him! Have the mighty fallen or what? It appears this is not a very good time to be arrogant. You’ve got bust your ass!

When brings me back to Leo, Madonna. Her star is rising (again) thanks to what? Hard work and discipline! Those are Saturn concepts.

But anyway, what do you think of this guy’s idea? Better yet, how does it feel to you?

If it means I win the lottery, I like his story a lot! *grin* Seriously, I hope he’s right because things are kinda bleak for the “little people” right now.

See I wonder if what he’s talking about is reflected/exacerbated by the transit of Neptune through Aquarius that has in the UK seen an explosion of reality television where the little people are indeed the stars and then go on to become celebrities afterwards.

(In the UK’s Big Brother at least it always tends to be the most unassuming ordinary character who wins it - but maybe that’s more about British attitudes than anything else). Actually last time around when they had Celebrity Big Brother they had one nobody in the house with all the famous people and she won and is a huge star now.

I don’t know if this is true in the States but in Britain we’re also having a lot of campaigning done about how we really need to conserve our energy and our resources and not splurge or waste heat or water.

Since Saturn in Leo in the birth chart often seems to be a comment on one’s feelings of specialness then I think your astrologer friend might well be right and the stars might not be feeling quite as special and shiny now…

thanks Elsa - all one has to do is look at who was in the streets the last couple of days and where most of the headlines were focused in this last news cycle…..

That feels dead on to me. Am rooting for those underdogs right along with you!

you ARE correct about hard work, Ms. Elsa. At first I had nothing to say for I have no planets in Leo, but then examining my past year, I felt less special and less deserving of attention. Then I worked extremely hard (sometime I protest this, for I enjoy relaxing, taurus style) and advanced in many unexpected but benefitial fields. I JUST dislike how horrible it makes me feel, but then you can’t expect a gurenteed elation right after tough work. One thing though, was that I WISH I would’ve worked HARDER. I must say, Saturn made this past year the TOUGHEST year I’ve ever experienced. Which is why I am taking a vacation for the next 3 days before returning to tough work once again!!
