Weekend Love Forecast

May 24th, 2013 @ 10:58 am by Satori

“My father says that almost the whole world is asleep. Everybody you know. Everybody you see. Everybody you talk to. He says that only a few people are awake and they live in a state of constant total amazement.”
–Patricia, Joe vs. the Volcano

JoeIt’s a full moon weekend! Friday night is the full moon eclipse in Sagittarius. Going into date night, the opposition is applying with the Moon already in Sadge. It’s intense and the mood is snappy but with a sidecar of fog. This full moon squares Neptune in Pisces. Neptune can glamorize, throw a little magic over reality. It can obscure, making things mysterious. It can also be unsettlingly unclear and confusing.

Saturn Return (In Scorpio) – How’s It Going?

May 24th, 2013 @ 6:54 am by Elsa

Ask the collective

For a client:

“You’re heading towards your Saturn return.  You’ve got to decide what kind of adult you want to be.  Are you going to place limits on yourself?

Are you going to be the kind of person who pushes through blocks?

Are you going to be someone who blames others?

Are you going to be flail around?

Are you going to get your life and track and keep it there..?

Are you headed towards your Saturn return? How are you faring?

Judging Another Person’s Journey

May 24th, 2013 @ 5:30 am by Elsa

Astro chat.

“Elsa, why didn’t you do this..?”
“Elsa, you should have done this other..?”
“Elsa, why didn’t you see it this way..?”
“Elsa, why didn’t you do what I would have done..?”

I get these kinds of questions a lot. I think it’s because I am such a weirdo. I have an unconventional background and there is nothing you or I can do about that!

Crash Course In Astrology

May 23rd, 2013 @ 7:25 am by Elsa

Astro chat.

I’m writing this for a client, but realized others don’t realize this:

“I am guessing you don’t know much about astrology, so here is a crash course.  Planets move along in their orbits, forming angles to each other that correlate with events in our lives.

Growing Up In The Shadow Of An Older Sibling

May 23rd, 2013 @ 5:30 am by Elsa

Astrology in real life.

Occasionally I work with someone who I feel is stuck in the shadow of an older sibling. I went through this. It takes one to know one!

I have two sisters who are older than me. The eldest was a bully. She literally beat the hell out of me. My sister, Annalisa, who some of you know, was extremely popular in school. I was more of a misfit. I stayed out of her way, feeling association with me would harm her voguishness.

Astrology Today: May 23, 2013 – Aftermath

May 22nd, 2013 @ 5:44 pm by Satori

“Too often the people complain that they have done nothing with their lives and then they wait for somebody to tell them that this isn’t so.”
― Charles Bukowski, What Matters Most is How Well You Walk Through the Fire

Walk Through the FireThursday morning the Moon in Scorpio conjuncts Saturn, sextiles Pluto, and quincunxes Uranus. As volatile as things have been, the Moon here is a boon. While the Moon touches on the Pluto-Uranus square, it does so from a position of stability, its back to Saturn. It’s like standing on a pile of rubble and saying, “So?” There’s the trouble and there’s the day after. This is the day after mood. Yeah it’s not perfect, but you dig deep and the feeling is get on it and get on with it.

Saturn In The 12th House: Absent Father?

May 22nd, 2013 @ 5:30 am by Elsa

Saturn Neptune

Some will tell you that people who have Saturn in the 12th house, or Saturn mashed with Neptune will have a father (Saturn) who is drunk/impaired or simply not there.

Young mothers look at the charts of their babies. They worry if they see Saturn in the 12th, but it’s really not that simple.

I spoke with man who told me he thought his father was absent for his childhood. He thought this clear up until he was 30 years old.

Astrology Today: May 22, 2013 – A Good Story

May 21st, 2013 @ 5:00 pm by Satori

“The memory has as many moods as the temper, and shifts its scenery like a diorama.”
― George Eliot, Middlemarch: A Study of Provincial Life

Big Comfy CouchWednesday morning the Moon in late Libra trines Jupiter and quincunxes Taurus Mars. It’s a chipper mood to interact and act, but only if it feels good. It’s likely going to be tougher to motivate yourself to do anything unpleasant or un-pretty. Put on pink and talk over tea? YES! Hike up your sleeves and snake the drains? NO! That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t do it. That just means it’s probably not going to be all that appealing. Try not to crumple up on the floor and writhe like bacon in a hot pan.

Bump on a log

May 21st, 2013 @ 5:30 am by Elsa

Astrology in real life.

I’ve seen tens of thousands of charts over the years.  After decades of practice, I’ve come to a point where I can quickly assimilate a person’s chart.

Some people have very difficult charts.  I don’t know why. They just do. And I see their lives correlate with the chart.  Some people have charts that are relatively easy and their lives reflect this.

Astrology Today: May 21, 2013 – Control Your Mood

May 20th, 2013 @ 6:00 pm by Satori

“I relate to you, Ralph. When I hit bottom, I was crushing man’s skull like sparrow’s egg between my thighs… and I think, why you have to be so bad, Zangief? Why can’t you be more like good guy? Then I have moment of clarity… if Zangief is good guy, who will crush man’s skull like sparrow’s egg between thighs? And I say, Zangief you are bad guy, but this does not mean you are *bad* guy.”
–Wreck-it-Ralph

Vanellope CarTuesday morning the Moon in Venus-ruled Libra trines the Mercury-Venus conjunction in Gemini and Juno in Aquarius, a grand trine in air. Love is in the air! Pretty jelly tones and lyrical laughter, upbeat and committed with enough space to breathe. And it also has a square to Pluto, HA HA HA HA, stomping on the pretty little jelly people running and screaming. Okay, it’s not THAT dire, but it has that flavor. There’s a funky smell in the theme park, folks.
